Fortnite has now entered the world of The Simpsons in a season-wide collab that will last till the end of the month. This time around, the island’s size is fairly smaller with just 9 new POIs spanned across Springfield, donned in a cel-shaded art style to give players the authentic Simpsons world vibe.
Alongside the new locations and Simpsons easter eggs spread all across the map, players also got new weapons and saw the return of some of the classic weapons in the loot pool. With each Fortnite season, new mythics and exotics are always the core focus among players since they pack some heavy damage and are often highly sought after in matches.
With the latest Simpsons season, exotics and mythic weapons are there to be found on the island, but since it’s “The Simpsons”, a unique mythic item called Jebediah’s Protective Helmet is also introduced, which can either be used seriously or could be passed on as a gag item in-game. Regardless, here’s how you can get it in Fortnite.
Jebediah’s Protective Helmet Location in Fortnite
The founder of Springfield, Jebediah’s statue can be found in Springfield Town Square right at the center. The stone statue stands tall with a golden plaque that says, “A Noble Spirit Embiggens The Smallest Man”, right in the middle of the town square.
How to Get and Use Jebediah’s Protective Helmet
To get Jebediah’s Protective Helmet, walk up to Jebediah’s statue in Fortnite. Then, either pickaxe the statue or shoot at its head. After a couple of hits or shots, whatever you choose to do, Jebediah’s head will fall off to the ground.
Once it falls down, walk up to it and pick it up. Make sure you have an inventory slot empty, as it occupies one slot in your backpack. If you already have all slots filled, you can swap it with one of the items in your inventory and pick up the mythic helmet.
As soon as you pick it up, you’ll wear the helmet automatically, and a message will appear that says, “The first headshot damage will hit the Jebediah head. Once it flies off, it will be available to pick up again.”
This means that the helmet protects you from incoming headshots; however, as soon as it is hit by a single bullet, it will fall off to the ground and reveal your location to enemies. However, you’ll be able to pick it back up again and wear it once you’re out of danger.
