Fortnitemares 2026 is live, and Fortnite players are already at it, completing related quests and unlocking free rewards that come with it this Halloween season. Whether it’s becoming an FNAF animatronic in a Fortnite match or hunting down Freddy Krueger, keeping a solid loadout and a Sprite handy can go a long way. To do that, Epic Games has added Pumpkin Chests to the Fortnite island, and if you’re looking for their locations on the Fortnitemares 2026 map, we’ve got you covered.
Fortnite Pumpkin Chest Map Locations in Chapter 7 Season 4
There are 45 Pumpkin Chests you can find around the Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 map during the ongoing Fortnitemares 2026 event. These are special loot containers that were added with the Fortnite update 42.30 and can be found scarcely across the island.

As you can see on the map above, the area around the two new Fortnite POIs, Freaky Fields and Nightmare Neighborhood, is rich with Pumpkin Chest spawns, so we advise you to drop at either of these locations when you jump out of the Battle Bus. However, remember to grab a ground loot weapon or, better yet, Freddy’s Nightmare Glove before you make your way towards the Pumpkin Chest, as these are heavily contested locations on the Fortnite map.
How to Smash a Pumpkin Chest to Find a Sprite in Fortnite
To smash a Pumpkin Chest to find a Sprite in Fortnite, walk closer to any Pumpkin Chest location you’ve found on the island and hold down the Interact button on your input device (F for keyboard and Square/X on controller). Once you’ve interacted with the Pumpkin Chest for a few seconds, it will burst open in front of you and grant you a weapon and a random Sprite.
While the loot and Sprite you get from a Pumpkin Chest are randomized, don’t get your hopes up to find rare Fortnite Sprites like the Dumpster Dive Sprite in a match.
However, if you’re lucky, the Pumpkin Chest might as well grant you a Legendary weapon or a rare Sprite variant like the Gold Morgana Sprite in Fortnite. But when you find a rare Sprite, use a Portable Extractor to extract it instantly. If you run out of extractors, use a Fortnite Admin Panel code to get one for free.
When you smash open a Pumpkin Chest in a Fortnite match, you’ll complete one of the Fortnitemares 2026 quests and gain 15,000 XP toward your account level progress. Complete all Fortnitemares quests to unlock the free Jack-A-Nape Fortnite skin.
