When is Batman Sprite Coming to Fortnite?

The Batman Sprite in Fortnite is going to strike fear into the hearts of players. This will be the second Sprite collaboration (first for DC), after Burnt Peanut. The only thing that’s odd about the Batman Sprite is that he has no shirt on. It would seem that Epic Games went for a Summer look, and it’s not half bad.

Fortnite Batman Sprite Release Date

You will only be able to catch the Batman Sprite in Fortnite from July 16, 2026, onward. As of today (July 13, 2026) it is currently unreleased, and anyone stating otherwise would be lying. There is no way to obtain it before the given date. It also cannot be obtained by trading Sprites in Fortnite.

Once the Batman Sprite in Fortnite is released, you will be able to collect it the usual way. If you want a levelled-up version of this Sprite, defeating a player will be a good option. However, if you prefer the more subtle approach of finding it on your own, Sprite Chests will be your go-to option.

Aside from Batman, the Air Sprite from Chapter 6 will also be re-released on July 16, 2026. You’ll be able to use it to gain speed, increase jump height, and nullify fall damage. It’ll be interesting to see how it fairs against the Striker Sprite.

What Does The Batman Sprite Do In Fortnite?

Unlike other Sprites that have a known, or at least rumoured, functionality, we have no idea what the Batman Sprite does. Aside from being ripped and shirtless, we know nothing else. That said, we can speculate it’s functional or what it has to offer in terms of buffs.

We know that Batman never gives up. Hence, the Batman Sprite in Fortnite could perhaps provide a boost to players after they get revived or rebooted. This would be an interesting mechanic, as players would be able to make use of the Driveable Reboot Vans in Fortnite.

Players could be brought into the fight a bit stronger and get boosted stats for a few seconds. Those capable of being tactical and guile will be able to use this to their advantage. In many ways, the Batman Sprite could be akin to the Boss Sprite.

Lastly, we know the Batman Sprite in Fortnite will have variants, but we’re not sure which ones. More information should be revealed this week, including its ability. Depending on what Epic Games has planned, this could just become the rarest Sprite in Fortnite.
