EA FC 26 sees the return of the Showdown Series promo, meaning players can look forward to a slate of live items that’ll be upgraded based on real-life match results. Showdown SBCs are usually priced quite reasonably, so most Ultimate Team players can afford to complete them. With that said, multiple Showdowns can go live simultaneously, which makes keeping up with the results slightly tricky. EA FC 26 Showdown Cards Explained
Showdown cards in EA FC 26 are live items themed around real-life football matches or games in the EA FC Pro tournament. These items are released throughout the game’s annual cycle and force players to pick between one of two players. If your selected player ends up winning the real-life Showdown, they’ll be in line for an upgrade. Speaking of which, here’s what the upgrades look like:
- Win: +1 OVR and Role ++
- Draw: Both Players Receive Role ++
- Loss: No upgrade
Unlike EA FC 25, Showdown cards will only be in line for a +1 OVR upgrade as opposed to +2 OVR. This change likely has to do with EA slowing down the power curve. To compensate for the smaller upgrade, the winning item will also get a Player Role ++, improving the positional understanding of their in-game AI.
