Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Characters and Cast

Spider-Man is one of the most loved characters in Marvel, and no matter whether he appears in live-action or animation, fans are always hyped to see their favorite web-slinging hero in action. With that being said, it goes unsaid that if you are a fan of Spidey, you must be waiting on the release of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and in this article learn all you need to know about the cast and characters set to appear in the upcoming animated series!

1. Hudson Thames as Peter Parker / Spider-Man

American actor and singer Hudson Thames will voice the Spider-Man/Peter Parker in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. This will not be the first time he has taken up the role of the web-slinging superhero since he previously voiced Spider-Man in Marvel’s anthology series ‘What If…?’. Considering how well he pulled off the role of Spider-Man in What If…?, it is safe to say that the beloved character is in good hands.

2. Colman Domingo as Norman Osborn

Colman Domingo is a wonderful actor and has appeared in blockbuster shows in important roles such as Fear The Walking Dead. This time around, Colman is appearing in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man as the voice of Norman Osborn. In the main continuity Spider-Man universe, Norman Osborn turns into Green Goblin and becomes Spidey’s archnemesis.

However, since this show is set in an alternate universe, Norman Osborn will be Peter’s mentor in becoming the hero he is destined to be. Basically, instead of Tony Stark, Norman will be the one to provide Spider-Man with a better suit and training. We don’t know a lot about it yet, so let’s wait and see what happens

3. Kari Wahlgreen as May Parker

Kari Wahlgreen is an extremely talented voice actor and has given her voice to some of the most loved shows and animated movies. Kari has appeared in Rick and Morty as Jessica and also voiced Tigress in the television adaptation of Kung Fu Panda. Now, Kari Wahlgreen has taken the role of Aunt May in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’s characters, which is one of the most important roles in the context of Spider-Man’s arc, and considering her track record, I am confident that the role is in good hands.

4. Hugh Dancy as Otto Octavius

Raising to fame after his appearance in the 2000 TV Movie David Copperfield, Hugh Dancy has appeared in multiple notable roles. His most recognizable and loved role has been as Will Graham in Hannibal, shooting his career to new heights. In Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’s cast, Hugh Dancy will take up the role of Doctor Otto Octavius, one of the most loved Spider-Man villains of all time. As of now, we have not seen Doctor Octavius in any of the trailers, so let’s wait and see how the character design of this villain turns out to be in the upcoming series.

5. Eugene Byrd as Lonnie Lincoln

Eugene Byrd has had an extensive career in Hollywood, appearing in popular movies like 8 Mile and Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid. He also gave his voice to shows like Spidey and His Amazing Friends and Family Guy. In Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Byrd will appear as Lonnie Lincoln a classmate and friend of Peter.

However, in the comics, Lincon was a minor antagonist named Tombstone so there is a possibility that he will turn into the villain eventually but in a completely different way from what we have seen in the comics.

6. Zeno Robinson as Harry Osborn

Zeno Robinson is also a decorated voice actor and has given his voice to notable characters like Cyborg/Victor Stone in Young Justice and  Keigo “Hawks” Takami, a much-recognized character in My Hero Academia. In Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’s cast, Zeno Robinson plays the character of Harry Osborn, Peter’s best friend and the son of Norman Osborn. As of now, we have not seen him appear in any of the trailers, so let’s see how it goes!

7. Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / Daredevil

One of the most anticipated appearances in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is that of Charlie Cox as Daredevil. He took up the role for the first time back in 2015 in the character’s solo series and proved to the world that he was born to play Daredevil. He is once again reprising his character in the upcoming series Daredevil: Born Again.

However, he is not just back in live action but also in this animated show which renders me excited to see the much-awaited on-screen team-up of Spider-Man and Daredevil. As of now, we have not seen his character design, so let’s wait and see what happens till then, stay tuned with us for more updates!
