The movie will not be adapting the whole game; instead, it will feature a new story and characters in the same universe. The trailer showcased the teens getting stuck in a time loop inside the cabin where they need to survive until dawn. The repeated deaths of the characters at the hands of various ghoulish creatures remind me of Christopher Landon’s Happy Death Day movie.
