Zack Snyder’s dream project, Rebel Moon is all set to make its official release. This movie is set in the Star Wars universe but is not a Star Wars movie officially. However, Rebel Moon is going to be a huge franchise in itself. A novel series of this movie is in the works along with a sequel and a final third movie. This movie is going to bring in brand-new epic characters and in this article, find out about all 12 major cast members of Rebel Moon.

1. Sofia Boutella as Kora

Sofia Boutella plays the role of Kora, the lead protagonist of Rebel Moon. She is a former soldier of the Imperium who will be standing against them to protect her village. According to the synopsis provided earlier by Zack Snyder himself, she will set out on a journey to form a team of warriors to fight alongside her. Basically, you can call Kora the Batman of an intergalactic Justice League.

2. Charlie Hunnam as Kai

Charlie Hunnam joins the cast of Rebel Moon in the role of Kai. He is a mercenary pilot who is also an ally to Kora and will help her in the quest to assemble her team of warriors. By the looks of the trailer, it seems that along with being a pilot, he is also a fierce combatant whom we will see fighting alongside Rebel Moon’s lead cast.

3. Michiel Huisman as Gunnar

Moving on we have, Gunnar, played by Michiel Huisman. He is a farmer who is cut off from everything else that is happening outside his village in the far corner of the galaxy. However, after he joins Kora in her quest there is a possibility of a serious character arc as the character of Gunnar in the Rebel Moon Saga unfolds.

4. Ed Skrein as Admiral Atticus Noble

Now, here we have Admiral Atticus Noble, the big baddie villain of Rebel Moon. Ed Skerin portrays the character of Noble in the cast list of Rebel Moon and by the looks of the trailer, he is coming in with a fabulous performance. In Rebel Moon, he is going to be the one threatening Kora’s village, and against whom she’s building a team of warriors.

5. Djimon Hounsou as General Titus

One of the Hollywood legends, who has been in movies for as long as you can remember, Djimon Hounsou is also joining the cast of Rebel Moon as General Titus. He is a fierce gladiator who had served the Imperium and the Motherworld in the past. When Kora and her team find him, they allow him to extract his due vengeance from the people who made him into what he is.

6. Staz Nair as Tarak

We as of now don’t know a lot about Nair’s character but he plays the role of Tarak who is like a bonded laborer. He shares some kind of bond with a flying creature called Bennu but the depth of his character will be unveiled once the Rebel Moon is released.

7. Doona Bae as Nemesis

Joining the diverse cast of Rebel Moon, Doona Bae plays the role of Nemesis. She is a cyborg and the most skillful swordswoman in the galaxy. Her metallic robot hands allow her to wield red hot swords making her even more lethal. She is going to be a part of Kora’s team of rebels making a stand against the Imperium.

8. Ray Fisher as Darrian Bloodaxe

Ray Fisher has previously worked with Zack Snyder as Cyborg in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. In Rebel Moon, he will play the role of Darrian Bloodaxe. Darrian and his sister are part of an already existing resistance against Imperium who are responsible for several guerilla attacks. He and his sister will be a part of Kora’s team.

9. E. Duffy as Milius

We don’t know a lot about Duffy’s character as of now. She plays Milius who fights alongside Bloodaxe to avenge her home which she had already lost to the Motherworld.

10. Anthony Hopkins as Jimmy

One of the most legendary actors, Anthony Hopkins will be giving his voice to Jimmy, an ancient sentient robot knight also called JC-1435. He used to be the defender of a king who has now been slain. Now, in the time where Rebel Moon takes place, he has left behind being a warrior and leads a peaceful existence. However, we will witness him bearing arms and fighting against the Imperium alongside Kora and her allies.

11. Cleopatra Coleman as Devra Bloodaxe

Cleopatra Coleman appears in the role of Devra Bloodaxe, Darrian’s sister. She is also a rebel and is as dedicated to the cause of fighting the Motherworld and the Imperium as her brother. However, we will see a slight skepticism from her regarding the cause Kora is inviting her and her brother to fight for.

12. Jena Malone as Harmada

Jena Malone plays the role of Harmada, she is a huge spider-like creature whom we see fight against Nemesis. As of now, all we know about her is that this creature hails from the mining world of Daggus. We will find out if she has a deeper role in the Rebel Moon lore only after watching the movie.

Rebel Moon will have a short theatrical release from December 15, 2023 – December 21, 2023, and will be released on Netflix on December 21, 2023, at 7 PM PT.
