Lava has been keen towards launching new smartphones on android platform with Intel based chip-sets and now the Xolo X1000 is a brand new Intel atom chipset based android smartphone with some interesting specifications and price. Though the phone is a flagship device from Xolo brand of Lava international, you can expect a good hardware but the phone disappoints with some of the software and hardware specifications.
Though the phone runs on Intel atom processor, it is clocked at 2 GHz which is expected to be quite powerful when compared to the price point at which it is launched. The processor supports hyper threading technology by Intel along with 400 Mhz graphics engine. The phone has android ICS 4.0.4 and jelly bean is expected in Q2 by the company. The phone scores well in terms of display and pixel resolution but lacks in terms of battery life and connectivity features. The camera department is average when it comes to its price range and Xolo has provided all the basic sensors within this smartphone and the stand by and usage time are above average for X1000.
So the phone has a combination of some great and some average features to compensate for the price. It would be interesting to see the competition blooming at the budget series with aggressive marketing and sales by competitors like Micromax Canvas HD.
