After a massively successful two seasons, Invincible is coming back with Season 3 sooner than anyone would have expected. This series brings to life the highly acclaimed comic book series with the same name and has won over the audience with its brilliant execution and fantastic soundtrack. So, while we wait for Season 3 release date, find out about the Invincible cast and characters, including all the major voice actors we are expecting in the upcoming season.
1. Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson/Invincible
Rising to popularity after appearing in The Walking Dead, Steven Yeun has appeared in multiple movies and shows and has made a massive career for himself bagging multiple awards. Steven Yeun will reappear as the protagonist of the TV series, Mark Grayson or Invincible in Season 3. The last time we saw Mark, he took a stand against a Viltrumite and refused to surrender Earth to their empire. In Season 3 of Invincible, we will probably see Mark and his allies stand against the promised invasion by the Vitrumites so let’s see what the future holds for him!
2. Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson
Sandra Oh is known for her award-winning performance in Grey’s Anatomy where she has proven herself to be a really talented actor. She takes up the role of Debbie Grayson. She is the mother of Mark and Nolan/Omini Man’s wife. Debbie was massively devastated by what Nolan did to their son in Season 1 and also degraded her by calling her a pet. However, in Invincible Season 3, Nolan will probably come back to Earth after escaping from the Vitrumite captivity with Alan as by the end of the last episode of Season 2, he realizes that he misses his wife.
3. J.K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson/Omini Man
J.K. Simmons has been one of the most hated superhero characters in the 2000s for his portrayal of J. Jonah Jameson which he still does in Spider-Man movies. So, it is pretty obvious that he is no stranger to the genre. In the series, he appears as Nolan Grayson or Omini-Man, a Viltrumite and the most powerful man on Earth.
However, even though initially he was thought to be a hero, as it turns out, his agenda is to take over the planet and expand the Viltrumite empire. By the end of Season 1, we see him almost kill his son Mark but he couldn’t land the final blow and just left Earth. In Season 2, we see that he is extremely guilty of what he has done, and by the end of Season 2, he reveals that he misses his wife. So, with that being said, he might come back to Earth in Season 3 but only time will tell what happens next.
4. Zazie Beetz as Amber Bennett
Zazie Beetz is a quite well-established actress who is known majorly for her role in Deadpool 2 as Domino. She takes up the role of Amber Bennett, the romantic interest of Mark Grayson and eventually becomes his girlfriend. Even though their relationship worked out initially, Mark’s life as Invincible came between them and they ended up breaking up with each other in season 2. However, the way their relationship has been on and off, there is a probability that they will eventually get back together, or maybe Mark will start dating Atom Eve. Let’s wait and see what happens!
5. Andrew Rannells as William Clockwell
You might not have seen Andrew Rannells a lot on screen but he is indeed a veteran when it comes to voice acting as he has given his voice to multiple anime dubs, the most popular being Forrest in Pokemon Chronicles (2006). He appears in Invincible as William Clockwell, Mark’s best friend and sometimes, his guy in the chair. He is one of the few people who know about Mark’s double life as Invincible and is also aware of what Omini-Man did to Mark by the end of season 2.
6. Ben Schwartz as Shapesmith
Acclaimed voice actor Ben Schwartz is known for many major roles. He has given his voice to Sonic The Hedgehog and has also voiced Dewey in the DuckTales reboot. Ben also appeared in DC League of Super-Pets and the Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In Invincible, he appears as the Shapesmith, a shapeshifting Martian who assumes the identity of astronaut Rus Livingston, leaving him behind on Mars and taking his place. Eventually, his identity was revealed and he became a member of the Guardians of the Globe after helping the team to rescue the real Rus Livingston from Mars.
7. Kevin Michael Richardson as Mauler Twins
Even though Kevin Michael Richardson has not appeared on screen, there is no way you might not have heard his voice at least once. He has given his voice to some of the most popular animated content like Family Guy, American Dad, The Cleveland Show, Teen Titans, Lilo and Stich, and Super Mario Bros. just to name a few of his projects. Kevin Michael Richardson gives his voice to Mauler Twins, who are the most recurring villains in Invincible.
They are always fighting each other for who is the original one and in Season 2, when one of the twins got burns on his face, we thought that this feud would finally come to an end but as it turns out, the clone killed the Mauler with the burnt face and made another clone of himself claiming to be the original one. These guys were responsible for what happened to Angstrom Levy, turning him into a monstrous and ugly villain. Since the twins are still up and about, they will most certainly come back with another plan in Invincible Season 3.
8. Walton Goggins as Cecil Stedman
Walton Goggins is probably one of the finest actors Hollywood has ever produced. His fame met all its glory with Detective Shane Vendrell on The Shield. He has appeared in House of the 1000 Corpses, The Next Karate Kid, and The Joy Ride. Most recently, he once again took the world by storm with his stellar performance as The Ghoul in the live-action Fallout series. In Invincible, Goggins appears as Cecil, the director of GDA aka the Global Defense Agency.
He and his organization are responsible for looking after all superhero activities and working with them to protect Earth and its people. Initially, Omini-Man was their Ace of Spades but since he turned rouge and left Earth, Cecil had to bring Mark up to the mark as a replacement for Omini-Man.
9. Chris Diamantopoulos as Donald Ferguson
Chris Diamantopoulos has not appeared on screen a lot but has been the voice of Mickey Mouse in multiple projects. His on-screen performances include Three Stooges, Red Notice, and a few more. He has also given his voice to Batman on certain projects. In Invincible, Chris takes up the role of Donald Ferguson.
He is the second-in-command to Cecil and also somewhat of his assistant. By the end of season 1, Donald was killed by Omini-Man but in season 2, we saw him back in action. It was later revealed that Donald has died multiple times and every time he was reanimated using cybernetics to the extent that now most of him is just a machine.
10. Mark Hamill as Art Rosenbaum
If I have to tell you who Mark Hamill is, my friend, you need to recalibrate your taste in the media you have been consuming. Embedded in the history of cinema as Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill appears in Invincibe as Art Rosenbaum. He used to be a close friend to Omini-Man and other superheroes as well since he is a tailor who makes suits for all the heroes. He is also one of those people who were devastated by what Omini-Man turned out to be since Omini-Man was a dear friend of him with Debbie and Mark being almost like a family to him.
11. Zachary Quinto as Robot
Zachary Quinto has appeared multiple times in the Star Trek movies, where he took up the titular character of Spock. He has also been seen as Dr. Oliver Thredson in American Horror Story: Asylum for which he bagged an Emmy nomination. He gives his voice to Robot, an Android controlled by a disfigured being who got the Mauler Twins to make a new body for himself using a sample of Rex-Splode’s DNA. Even though he was successful in creating a new body for himself, learning to be human has been a massive task for him which will carry forward into Season 3. Robot is added to this Invincible cast list since Rudy (the new body) still uses these machines to be useful in combat.
12. Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve
Appearing in Netflix’s Love as Mickey Dobbs, HBO’s Girls, and The Bear, Gillian Jacobs appears in the role of Atom Eve who is a fellow teenage superhero in Mark’s team and also his class and college mate. Even in the comics, Atom Eve is one of the most powerful superheroes for her ability to change the atomic structure of anything and bend it to whatever she wants to make out of them.
In the comic version of Invincible, Atom Eve turns into one of the most important characters in the story, and the way Invincible is moving forward we can assume that she might become a really important character in the series as well. So let’s wait and see what happens next.
13. Jason Mantzoukas as Rex Splode
Jason Mantzoukas has been previously seen in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Good Place, and Parks and Recreation. He also appeared in John Wick: Chapter 3 and is majorly known for his role in The Dictator. In Invincible, he appears as the hotheaded teenage superhero named Rex-Splode. He has the superpower to turn anything into an explosive by touching it which indeed is a cool power to have.
However, even though his abilities are cool, he is the most arrogant of all the members of Guardians of the Globe and keeps messing up his relationship with Atom Eve over and over again. In season 2, he almost died after being shot in the head but miraculously survived the fatal injury and will be returning in the Invincible cast for Season 3.
15. Ross Marquand as The Immortal and Rudy Conners
Ross Marquand rose to popularity after portraying Aaron in The Walking Dead. Following this, he also gave his voice to Red Skull in Avengers Infinity War and Endgame. In Invincible, he gives his voice to two different characters. Ross Marquand voices The Immortal, who is an immortal being who has been around for centuries and can only be killed if he is decapitated. He was made the leader of the new Guardians of the Globe but he has major trust issues with Mark for being Nolan/Omini-Man’s son.
Additionally, Rudy Conners is also the consciousness of the disfigured boy who controlled Robot. He used Rex-Splode’s DNA to get Mauler Twins to make him a new body. This new body was Rudy who is now learning to be human which will further be explored in Invincible Season 3.
16. Khary Payton as Black Samson
Khary Payton is another actor who found fame after appearing in The Walking Dead as King Ezekiel. His performance as Cyborg in multiple DC animated movies is a testament to how good of a voice actor he is. In Invincible cast, he takes up the role of Black Samson who had lost his powers and was using a power suit to compensate for it.
However, in season 2, he was almost killed while fighting Machine Head’s team of supervillains but miraculously, his near-death experience brought back his powers which are also greatly enhanced. So, we may see a lot more of him in Invincible season 3.
17. Mahershala Ali as Titan
Mahershala Ali is one of the most well-known actors in Hollywood who has won multiple awards for his on-screen performances. He has appeared in multiple famous projects like Hunger Games and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. However, he rose to popularity with TV shows like Luke Cage and House of Cards.
In Invincible, he appeared in season 1 as Titan, a small-time goon with the ability to create a shell of rock around his body which is nearly indestructible. However, as it turns out, he was not actually a bad guy but was forced to do this by Machine Head and needed Invincible’s help to free himself from this life. Since his story was completely sidelined in Season 2, Titan will certainly return in Invincible Season 3 considering the way things are going.
18. Seth Rogen as Allen the Alien
Seth Rogen started his career as a teenage stand-up comedian but later on, grew to produce some of the biggest movies and shows in Hollywood. As of now, he is the executive producer of The Boys which is one of the most viewed shows on the internet with season 5 currently in pre-production. He is also the executive producer of Invincible itself. In the series, he voices Allen the Alien, who is a Unopan and a representative of the Coalition of Planets. He appears in Invincible in season 2 and after a short misunderstanding befriends Mark.
Later on in the series, he was almost killed by Viltrumites but after his recovery, he came back much stronger than he had ever been. By the end of season 2, he deliberately gets himself captured by Viltrumites to help Nolan escape from the Viltrumite captivity and fight against their empire. In Invincible season 3, both Allen and Nolan might come to Earth and assist Mark to fend off the incoming Viltrumite invasion.
