How to Complete the Jimothy Fortnite Quest
The Jimothy Sidekick was released on October 1, with the Fortnite update 42.30 for Fortnitemares 2026. Unlike other Sidekicks, you cannot purchase him using V-Bucks; instead, he has to be captured in a Fortnite game. Here are the steps you need to follow:
- Start a Battle Royale or Zero Build Fortnite match.
- Land at any POI or Landmark on the map, and look for “Pumpkin Chests.” They are giant pumpkins that you can interact with to break open.
- Interact with the Pumpkin Chest to get the newly added Dumpster Dive Sprite in Fortnite (any variant). Alternatively, you can also enter Cheat Codes to get the Sprite.
- Head to an Extraction Site to get the Dumpster Dive Sprite to safety and add it to your collection. Do not use the Portable Extractor, as it doesn’t count toward completing this particular task.
- Finish the match and return to the lobby to claim your Jimothy Sidekick in Fortnite.
- Head to your locker and select Jimothy Sidekick to use in matches.
