Hogwarts Legacy is one of the biggest game launches of 2023. If you are a fan of Harry Potter and have ever wanted to roleplay as a wizard, you would definitely know about this game. Warner Bros even stated that Hogwarts Legacy generated over $1 billion in global revenue, being a successful game that even outperformed their expectations. Now, from the looks of it, this success has resulted in something super exciting for gamers, i.e. another game set in the world of Hogwarts! Yeah, the rumors suggest that Hogwarts Legacy 2 is in development, so let’s learn all about it.
Hogwarts Legacy 2 ‘In The Works’; According To This Insider
A fresh leak has revealed that Hogwarts Legacy 2 is currently under development. Not many details have been revealed about the successor to Hogwarts Legacy, but this leak comes from a renowned movie insider who regularly posts updates related to upcoming films & TV shows.
As per the leak, X user MyTimeToShineHello’s sources have “confirmed that a Hogwarts Legacy sequel is in the works.” This is extremely positive news and means that we should see updates from the developers soon enough!
However, we likely won’t hear about it this year. But given the highly successful nature of the last game, we can surely expect Warner Bros to heavily consider making a sequel.
Hogwarts Legacy 2 Could Feature a Darker Storyline
Avalanche Software is the developer of Hogwarts Legacy, and Warner Bros owns it as the parent organization. The same studio should be developing the next Hogwarts game, but hopefully, it will have better optimization. Talking about the story that Hogwarts Legacy 2 might tell – we don’t have any confirmed details yet, but we can speculate.
In the Harry Potter movies, things slowly take a darker turn as the adventures of Hogwarts School of Wizardry advance. In Harry Potter 3: Prisoner’s of Azakaban, a noticeable shift to darker tones can be noticed. The directors heavily used elements of fear in the movie, and its use essentially intensified in future movies.
This is what the author, J.K. Rowling intended for the series – it gets darker with each new story. So, like in the movies, maybe we will see the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy 2 game with a darker storyline! Below is how the title screen for the Warner Bros logo changed in every Harry Potter film. As you can see, the title screen progressively got darker.

The game again with all the attributes and achievements more side conquest more assignments allow more interaction with the wizardry world more magic spells I love the friendship system you guys have also need more combatants and a system of evil doers around world like a cult or something note you don’t need to change anything just more interactions with the wizardry world

Want to be able to have partners the CPU to follow you around and help you fight and not only you can choose which characters to follow you but each partner you choose has a special ability to help you through the story line and side quests as well as co op or split screen play so you and a friend can have fun helping each other through gameplay
I want to see a longer storyline. I’d love to have more magical creatures and more habitats to keep them. I’d love to be able to continue the storyline of the first and do the rest of the years of Hogwarts and a little beyond. Line with the Dragon Age games you can pick a default story line or if you finished the previous game you can choose your previous games storyline and achievements to reflect in the next game. I’d love to be able to take my Hogwarts Legacy character through school. And if that’s not possible I’d love for the second game to reflect in another era of the magical world of Harry Potter Fantastic Beats and Where to find them and everything in between or beyond Voldemort. I loved staying in Hogwarts Legacy before all the Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter timelines. Continuing on that would be amazing too. Would you visit Uganda’s school of witchcraft and wizardry like your friend Natty was from, or one of the other schools. I love Hogwarts and would be content to stay there with more adventures. I feel that Hogwarts Legacy was an amazing and magical feat and that the developers did an amazing job on it. I have been playing all 4 houses I did the preorder and love the preorder exclusives and I loved that I could link out with my wizarding world character testing. I’d love my patronus to be there in the next game! And I keep hoping back to find things I didn’t see before or to revisit things I have. I find a lot of things I later found were hidden. Exciting I found them. I’m looking forward to the next game. When can we expect it and when can we preorder it.?
It would be sweeter if the game updates with days or years. Bring new characters, new villains, your could be an Aurora, a teacher and/or live with muggles. Traveling to London like in the books and movies. Being one of the wizards to either meet harry potter or work under “he that she’ll not be named”
Companion system, more lively world, more spells, more mounts, more interactive activities, more enemy variables, and ofcourse Quidditch.
I want to see quiddich and azkaban
Hogwarts legacy 2 needs to bring in the option to play as a good or bad wizard/witch or ABIT of both you choose your own path to take and it needs access to more spells secret passages and more places to visit like London and azkaban maybe even new schools like albemorie
I mean, Quidditch is a must this time out and I think a larger character creator would be really nice.
I hope really hope that they allow us to play quidditch and also I hope in future games they allow the ability to grow your wizard past school and into an actual wizarding career or into a dark wizard
Want it to focus on a longer main quest/ storyline missions, think FFX a classic. (side quest are fun but not important) long strong storyline to follow
