Have a lot of unique and mutated fruit saved in your backpack? Running out of backpack space in Grow a Garden often? Well, it’s a common problem faced by all players, and the developers have a crafty fix for it. The Working Bees update brings crafting to Grow a Garden, and one of the things available to craft is the new Pack Bee pet. It can help you increase your backpack size. If you need more storage space, learn how to get the Pack Bee in Grow a Garden.

How to Increase Backpack Size in Grow a Garden

The previous week’s Friendship (aka Bizzier Bees) update added the Anti Bee egg with more pets that give mutations. This week’s Working Bees update is changing the pattern and does not add a new egg to the game.

With the new crafting system in Grow a Garden, you can craft the Pack Bee as one of the pets to increase the fruit backpack size. The developers, instead of allowing the use of Sheckles and Robux to allow players to maximize inventory slots, are having us rely on a pet for this feature.

If you want more backpack space, here is the full list of items you need to craft a Pack Bee in Grow a Garden:

  • Anti Bee Egg: can be obtained by crafting or purchased from the Shop using Robux
  • Sunflower: obtainable from the Flower Seed Pack in the Bee event
  • Purple Dahlia: obtainable from the Flower Seed Pack, similar to the Sunflower
  • 250 Honey: crafted by submitting Pollinated fruit to the Honey Combpresser

The requirements may seem daunting at first, but this pet is just that easy to craft. However, if you are not a patient player, there is an option to skip the crafting time by spending 39 Robux.

You can cancel the crafting recipe at any time by pressing the ‘C’ key if you are unable to gather the ingredients or wish to craft another gear.

Grow a Garden Pack Bee Passive and Abilities

The passive ability of the Pack Bee is simple. When you hatch the Pack Bee and it’s aged one, the pet increases the player’s backpack size by ~26 slots in Grow a Garden. The number of slots you have available will grow a little over time as the bee stays in your plot and ages.

Should You Craft the Pack Bee in Grow a Garden?

The short answer is yes, you should craft the Pack Bee in Grow a Garden, but only one pet is enough. I would not recommend crafting more than one Pack Bee since it’s not truly worth it. One pet should offer you a measly increase in backpack space, which is enough in the game. The storage slots are going to go up by a few slots as the Pack Bee ages after being deployed.

The idea of attaching the storage space to Grow a Garden pets is not the best idea, in my opinion. No player should have to choose between S-tier pets like Raccoons or Disco Bees and storage pets in the game. I believe no one should deploy more than one Pack Bee to get some extra storage space. Stick with the usual suspects to get more valuable fruits than storage space.
