Hollywood has given us some of the most beloved actors and some of them have impressed us so much with their acting skills that they deserve special attention. One such actor is Pedro Pascal, who has given us some of the most memorable movies and TV Shows and is set to step into the superhero world as well with The Fantastic Four First Steps. So, with that being said, let’s take a look at the 10 best movies and TV shows Pedro Pascal has starred in.
10. If Beale Street Could Talk (2018)

- Release Date: September 9, 2018
- Cast: KiKi Layne, Stephan James, Regina King, Brian Tyree Henry, Pedro Pascal, Colman Domingo, Dave Franco, Teyonah Parris, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor
- IMDb/Rotten Tomatoes: 7.1/95%
- Director: Barry Jenkins
If Bael Street Could Talk is a criminally underrated movie featuring Pedro Pascal. This movie brings us a well-knit story woven with just the right amount of drama and romance while also talking about complex issues that our society unfortunately faces on an everyday basis. This movie takes us to the story of Tish and Fonny, a couple who has been together since they were young. They are leading a happy life together as they wait for the arrival of their baby.
Things take a turn when Fonny gets falsely accused of sexual assault and the pregnant Tish goes against everything and everyone to prove his innocence. Talking about Pedro Pascal’s involvement in the movie, he does not play a very major role in the movie, but for the time he appears in the film, he proves why he is considered one of most talented actors we have ever seen. Even with significantly minimal screen time, his character is one os the most memorable ones in the movie.
9. Prospect (2018)

- Release Date: November 2, 2018
- Cast: Sophie Thatcher, Pedro Pascal, Jay Duplass, Luke Pitzrick, Andre Royo, Anwan Glover, Doug Dawson, Sheila Vand
- IMDb/Rotten Tomatoes: 6.3/89%
- Director: Zeek Earl, Chris Caldwell
When it comes to science fiction, there are many names out there that are way better than Prospect. However, if you are looking for a movie that is more than just science fiction but not as complex as movies like Interstellar, you know, something to watch after a long day to relax, Prospect is the movie you should go for. This movie takes us to a father-and-daughter duo (Pedro Pascal and Sophie Thatcher) who traverse to a distant moon with the mission of collecting rare minerals.
However, things do not go as planned, and other people are there seeking out what they wanted. Soon, it turns into a battle for survival where the moral compass of the father is tested. While Prospect might not be the best space adventure movie out there, it operates beautifully on other levels.
8. Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017)

- Release Date: September 20, 2017
- Cast: Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Mark Strong, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, Jeff Bridges, Elton John, Halle Berry, Edward Holcroft, Hanna Alström
- IMDb/Rotten Tomatoes: 6.7/ 51%
- Director: Matthew Vaughn
If you are a fan of movies that feature action sequences like James Bond and Mission Impossible but also love the humor and lightheartedness of spy movies like Johnny English, the Kingsman franchise is a match made in heaven of both these dynamics. Kingsman: The Golden Circle is the second movie in the franchise and features some of the best action sequences, humor, and cinematography one can ask for.
Talking about Pedro Pascal’s role, Kingsman: The Golden Circle features Pedro as Agent Whisky, who works for a secret agency called The Statesman, an American counterpart for The Kingsman. Even though he appears as a good guy in the movie initially, things take a turn when it turns out that Whisky is not the hero people consider him to be.
Pedro Pascal embodies the cowboy persona of Whisky to absolute perfection, and even though he only appears in the second half of the film, his presence is felt for as long as he appears on screen.
7. The Wild Robot (2024)

- Release Date: September 27, 2024
- Cast: Kit Connor, Pedro Pascal, Mark Hamill, Bill Nighy, Stephanie Hsu, Matt Berry, Ving Rhames, Alexandra Novelle, Lupita Nyong’o
- IMDb/Rotten Tomatoes: 8.2/ 96%
- Director: Chris Sanders
When discussing animated movies, many believe production houses have stopped making good ones. However, when The Wild Robot was released, it challenged this belief to its core. The Wild Robot is one of the most visually stunning animated movies you will ever watch. Not only that, but it also provides a fresh, extremely beautiful, and heartwarming story that will stay with you for quite some time. The Wild Robot was also nominated for the recently concluded Oscars 2025.
Pedro Pascal appears in The Wild Robot as Fink the Fox, a red fox who is sly and cunning but is also good at heart. He helps Roz navigate through the woods and understand the world around him.
6. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022)

- Release Date: April 22, 2022
- Cast: Nicolas Cage, Pedro Pascal, Lily Mo Sheen, Demi Moore, Ike Barinholtz, Paco León, Sharon Horgan, Alessandra Mastronardi
- IMDb/Rotten Tomatoes: 7/87%
- Director: Tom Gormican
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent explores a fun buddy dynamic wrapped in a layer of humor and violence usually seen in movies directed by Quentin Tarantino. This movie mirrors this dynamic, but it does not seem to be copy-pasted. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent brings us Nicolas Cage as a fictional version of himself and Pedro Pascal as a wealthy criminal named Javi Gutierrez, who is a die-hard fan of Nick.
Even though Cage has been a superstar, he is now struggling financially and is looking at a payment of $1 million for attending Javi’s birthday. Since it was easy money, he agreed to attend, but things took a turn when Nick found himself stuck with the CIA, the cartel, and the new best friend he found in Javi. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent might not be the best action-comedy movie out there, but the perfect dynamic between Nicolas Cage and Pedro Pascal makes it a fun and captivating watch.
5. Gladiator 2 (2024)

- Release Date: November 15, 2024
- Cast: Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger
- IMDb/Rotten Tomatoes: 6.6/ 71%
- Director: Ridley Scott
Maximum Decimus Meriduis ruled in cinemas all over the world when Gladiator came out back in 2000, and Ridley Scott planned on replicating the success with its recently released sequel, Gladiator 2. Even though the movie is a fun watch, it does not have the same essence as Gladiator did back then.
Putting the box office performance of the movie aside, Gladiator 2 brought us Pedro Pascal as General Acacuis, and watching him in that role is the best thing this movie had to offer. The way he embodies the persona of a Roman General makes you feel that Pedro Pascal isn’t acting but is a General. Overall, you might not wish to watch Gladiator 2, but if you are a fan of Pedro Pascal, you should most definitely check this one out.
4. Game of Thrones (2011)

- Release Date: April 17, 2011
- Cast: Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Emilia Clarke, Michelle Fairley, Aidan Gillen, Iain Glen, Kit Harington, Charles Dance, Pedro Pascal, Liam Cunningham, Isaac Hempstead Wright, Richard Madden, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Alfie Allen, John Bradley, Jack Gleeson, Rory McCann, Rory McCann, Stephen Dillane, Carice van Houten
- IMDb/Rotten Tomatoes: 9.2/89%
- Director: David Nutter, Jeremy Podeswa, Mark Mylod, Matt Shakman, and Alan Taylor
One of the most memorable roles Pedro Pascal has starred in was Game of Thrones as Oberyn Martell. His appearance was highly praised by critics, some even going to the length of calling him one of the best characters to appear in the series. Pedro Pascal’s character did not appear in the show for long; to be more specific, he appeared in the series for seven episodes before being brutally killed by the Mountain in Season 4 Episode 8, “The Mountain and The Viper”. However, Game of Thrones is undoubtedly one of the best TV shows featuring Pedro Pascal.
3. Narcos (2015)

- Release Date: August 28, 2015
- Cast: Wagner Moura, Pedro Pascal, Boyd Holbrook, Paulina Gaitán, Alberto Ammann, José María Yazpik, Joanna Christie, Andrea Londo, Stephanie Sigman
- IMDb/Rotten Tomatoes: 8.7/98%
- Director: José Padilha
Pedro Pascal’s popularity rose to new heights after Game of Thrones, and then he appeared in one of the most loved shows in the world, Narcos. He took up the role of Javier Peña, a DEA agent who was sent to Colombia with the mission of taking down Pedro Pascal. He appeared in the series for three seasons before leaving the project. However, this role proved to be one of his most celebrated performances, and if you have not yet watched Narcos, this is your sign to do so.
2. The Mandalorian (2019)

- Release Date: November 12, 2019
- Cast: Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Dave Filoni, Nick Nolte, Emily Swallow, Timothy Olyphant, Rosario Dawson, Ming-Na Wen, Taika Waititi, and Temuera Morrison
- IMDb/Rotten Tomatoes: 8.6/90%
- Director: Jon Favreau
Just when you think Pedro Pascal’s resume can’t get any more versatile, he made his way into one of the most loved franchises in the world, Star Wars. Pedro Pascal appeared as Din Djarin, the protagonist of The Mandalorian, and gave us one of the most successful projects in the Star Wars franchise. Pedro appears in The Mandalorian mostly with a helmet covering his face, but even after that, you can see his expressions through his body language.
Moreover, the way he delivers his dialogues and interacts with Grogu or Baby Yoda, is wholesome and adorable. If you are a fan of the Star Wars franchise, The Mandalorian is a show that you should not miss out on under any circumstances.
1. The Last of Us (2023)

- Release Date: January 15, 2023
- Cast: Bella Ramsey, Pedro Pascal, Kaitlyn Dever, Nico Parker, Anna Torv, Melanie Lynskey, Gabriel Luna, Tati Gabrielle, and Merle Dandridge
- IMDb/Rotten Tomatoes: 8.7/96%
- Directors: Neil Druckmann, Craig Mazin, Peter Hoar, Kate Herron, Nina Lopez-Corrado, Mark Mylod, and Stephen Williams
One of the most recent roles Pedro Pascal has taken up was of Joel in the live-action adaptation of the ultra-popular video game The Last of Us. When the live-action series was announced, fans were skeptical because, usually, production houses mess up while creating live-action adaptations of video games.
However, as it turned out, The Last of Us became one of the most successful shows of 2023 because of its perfect storytelling, pace, and the mindblowing performances given by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey. Even if you have not played The Last of Us, you should most definitely check out this series, and I guarantee you that you’ll not be disappointed and will wait for the upcoming season 2 with as much excitement as I am waiting.
