Arcane Season 2 Episode 3 Ending Explained: Did We Get a First Look at LoL’s Warwick?

Arcane already became one of the best TV shows ever after Season 1, but the newly released second season has surpassed its quality. The series, based on League of Legends, started with a beautiful bond between two sisters, Vi and Jinx, but eventually saw them as enemies as the story moved forward in the first season. Things have gone beyond anyone’s control in Arcane Season 2 as Vi has joined forces with Caitlyn and her Piltover enforcer army, who want to kill Jinx.

The first part of Arcane Season 2 showed Vi and Jinx locking horns as if they never really cared or loved each other. Besides that, many events from the first act of the second season played with my mind, and I’m pretty sure it played with yours too. To make things easier for you, I have penned down the events that occurred at the end of Arcane Season 2 Act 1.

Spoiler Warning: This post includes spoilers for Arcane Season 2, now out on Netflix.

Was It Warwick from League of Legends at the End of Arcane Season 2 Act 1?

Before answering this question, let’s shed light on what exactly did we see in the ending moments of Arcane Season 2 Act 1. There is so much bloodbath everywhere, and then we also see blood passing through some pipes while Singed plays with his pocket watch. Finally, in the background, we see a beast coming to life.

Even though the animated TV series hasn’t clarified anything about the chained creature yet, we are certainly convinced that it is Warwick, the bloodthirsty beast from League of Legends.

Also, if you remember, Singed takes Vander’s body at the end of Season 1; there are chances that he created Warwick out of Vander with his cruel experiments. In the first Act, we see Singed traveling to a cave, where he spots a couple of beastly wolves. Apparently, Singed killed those wolves to use their body parts to bring Vander, or should we say Warwick, to life.

Then, we see a massive heart pumping Singed’s blood into Warwick’s body. So, in a sense, Warwick will be an amalgamation of Singed, Vander, and the Wolves. Singed is probably pumping his own blood into Warwick so that the beast stays loyal to him.

However, it is yet to be seen what Singed plans to do when Warwick comes to life. He will surely use him to fight for Zaun and bring Piltover to its knees. That being said, Warwick will play an emotional angle in the story for sure. Vi and Jinx are at each other’s throats, and the latter clearly loses all sense of herself. So, maybe it will be Warwick who’ll make Jinx tap into her good side in the end.

Ambessa Uses Caitlyn As a Puppet

Ambessa Medarda is seen as an integral character from the beginning of Arcane Season 2 Act 2. Although she keeps trying to make everyone believe that she is doing everything for Piltover’s good, things become clear when Mel says that if she succeeds in her motives, everyone will suffer.

Ambessa seeks revenge from Zaunites and especially Jinx for destroying the peaceful environment of Piltover; that’s what she wants the world to believe. However, in reality, Mel’s mother intends to take possession of Hextech to become more powerful.

So, in the ending of Arcane Season 2 Episode 3, she chooses Caitlyn to use the girl to fulfill her own selfish motives. In fact, it’s revealed in the end that it was Ambessa who orchestrated the attack at the memorial service. She wanted the world to hate Zaun so that she could enforce Martial Law and convince the higher-ups in Piltover to use Hextech.

Now, it seems like she is one step closer to getting her hands on Hextech, but only Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger know the danger that this technology brings.
