Even though Wi-Fi calling (aka voice over WiFi or VoWiFi) has been around for quite some time, the high definition voice service has just started to gain traction in India. Without getting into the detail as to why it has taken so long for VoWiFi to go mainstream despite being way better than VoLTE, I am happy that the age of seamless communication has finally arrived. So, no more sluggish cellular connection, rather poor reception, or out of the blue disconnection when you are in buildings or at remote locations!
