This year October 2 was eagerly awaited by a lot of movie buffs in India. Two movies; Bang Bang and Haider were to keep everyone enthralled in the ongoing holidays. The latter although having received brilliant reviews from the film critics has landed up in a lot of trouble on social media.
The trend #BoycottHaider is trending on Twitter ever since it made its way up in the top 10 trends of India. Few people are asking everyone on social media to boycott/ban the movie completely as it hurts Indian sentiments. After watching the movie, these people are of the opinion that the movie is pro separatists and anti Indian army. They even pointed out that the plight of Kashmiri Pandits has been completely ignored in the movie.
Here are some reactions that are fueling #BoycottHaider on Twitter.

Amidst so much of negative publicity a lot more people have come up on Twitter with the trend #HaiderTrueCinema in support of the movie.
These people are stressing more on the beautiful cinematic experience that they’ve had after watching the movie. They believe that creativity shouldn’t be mixed with religion and the movie should be viewed merely as an art form. A lot of Kashmiris have gone on record to state that Haider is the closest Bollywood movie that has been able to capture what exactly is transpiring in the valley.
Here are some Twitter reactions by the people after watching the movie.
