Full Slayers 2 Tier List for Demon Art and Breathing Style
Breathing Styles are generally built around direct combat, weapon pressure, movement, and reliable attack strings. Demon Arts put more emphasis on abilities, area control, burst damage, and controlling where the enemy can move. The best choice depends heavily on whether you are farming mobs, fighting bosses, running Dungeons, or taking the build into PvP.
For this ranking, we look at realistic damage windows rather than just the biggest number an ability can produce. PvE performance, PvP pressure, combo reliability, crowd control, guardbreaks, strict stuns, mobility, defensive tools, stamina demands, and synergy with clans all matter here. Because a flashy ability that rarely connects is not doing much for you.
Below are the tier lists for Demon Art and Breathing Style that you can combine with the best Slayers 2 clans:
Slayers 2 Demon Art Tier List
| Tier | Demon Arts |
|---|---|
| S | Shockwave, Ice Manipulation |
| A | Dream Manipulation, Blood Manipulation, Pyrokinesis, Obi Manipulation, Reaper |
| B | Arrow |
| C | Tamari |
| D | None |
- Shockwave (S Tier): Shockwave is the standout Demon Art after the latest changes, especially for PvP. Its projectile impact now applies a strict stun; its barrages can be steered after connecting, the counter breaks hyper armor and boosts Z and C, while its slam has armored tap and hold versions. PvE is still more mixed because much of the kit is designed around fighting players. But the barrage pressure and area tools remain useful in Dungeons and against bosses.
- Ice Manipulation (S Tier): Ice is one of the best Demon Arts for PvE because it combines huge area coverage with Freeze and several abilities that can clear groups without forcing you into melee range. It is also excellent in PvP because Freeze gives you strong control over enemy movement. The main drawback is that its strength comes heavily from controlling space, so players who prefer fast melee combos may not get as much from it.
- Dream Manipulation (A Tier): Dream is one of the strongest farming-focused Demon Arts thanks to its stuns, barrages, sleep effects, area attacks, and Flesh Monster transformation. Flesh Barrage gives you a compact ranged barrage, while Flesh Monster can hit multiple enemies with huge area damage. The tendril can fire tracking lasers and orbs at moving NPCs. It is fantastic for solo PvE and Dungeons, but its area effects can make group farming annoying when you are not coordinating with teammates.
- Blood Manipulation (A Tier): Blood Manipulation remains a powerful PvP and PvE option, especially when you can build around its combo routes and pressure. It took a serious hit from the latest balance changes, losing 35% V damage, V strict stun, the final hit guardbreak on X, and some cooldown efficiency, so it no longer has the same oppressive ceiling it had before.
- Pyrokinesis (A Tier): Pyrokinesis benefits from improved tracking and steering, making its attacks more reliable than before. Its area pressure gives it useful PvE value while the improved control helps in PvP, although it does not have the same overall control package as Ice or the combo pressure of Shockwave.
- Obi Manipulation (A Tier): Obi gained 10% kit damage, armor on Z, and a V guardbreak, giving it much more practical pressure than before. The extra armor helps it force exchanges in PvP, while its area attacks give it useful PvE potential, although it still requires more deliberate ability usage than the easiest farming-focused Arts.
- Reaper (A Tier): Reaper is heavily oriented toward PvP because its fast skills and numerous barrages give it excellent combo potential. It can still handle PvE and single bosses reasonably well, but its limited crowd control makes it less efficient in Dungeons than Ice or Dream. It is worth noting that the current balance notes classify Reaper as a Fighting Style rather than a Blood Demon Art, but it remains useful to include when comparing the available Demon combat options.
- Arrow (B Tier): Arrow has improved after the latest targeting and tracking changes, but it remains a more specialized option. Its single-target pressure and newer abilities make it more useful than its old reputation suggested, yet it still does not have the same consistent area control as the higher-ranked Arts. It can work in PvP and PvE, but you need to get much more out of its individual abilities to match the efficiency of the S and A Tier options.
- Tamari (C Tier): Tamari is heavily dependent on your platform and how well you can aim its projectiles. On PC, its mostly single-hit attacks and limited area coverage make it awkward for PvE, while mobile and controller players can get much more from its aim assist and auto lock. Its large Tamari rain attack gives it useful Dungeon damage and crowd control, but the rest of the kit is not consistent enough to move it higher.
Slayers 2 Breathing Styles Tier List
| Tier | Breathing Styles |
|---|---|
| S | Flame, Wind |
| A | Thunder, Stone, Water, Sound, Serpent |
| B | Insect |
| C | None |
| D | None |
- Flame (S Tier): Flame is the strongest all-around Breathing Style because it combines damage, pressure, range, and reliable follow-ups without forcing you into one narrow playstyle. It is excellent in PvE for bosses and general farming, while its counter, longer X, and faster held V give it much better PvP pressure after the latest changes. Pairing it with Rengoku makes the Burn damage even nastier.
- Wind (S Tier): Wind is the combo specialist of the current meta, with faster Z, X, and C startups and better routes after its recent changes. It is especially dangerous in PvP because X can extend combos and V no longer sends opponents flying away, although its PvE value is more dependent on how well you can maintain your rotation.
- Thunder (A Tier): Thunder remains a dangerous offensive style with strong mobility and excellent synergy with Agatsuma. It works well in both PvE and PvP when you can keep your pressure going, but the slower Z and perfect-blockable X give experienced opponents more opportunities to punish you.
- Stone (A Tier): Stone is a strong bruiser style with good combo potential, a second hit guardbreak, and an armored ultimate. It is useful in PvP when you want to force defensive mistakes and works well against tougher PvE targets, although its counter is less available than before and its slower, heavier attacks require better timing.
- Water (A Tier): Water made one of the biggest jumps after receiving major consistency buffs. The strict stun X extension, instant held X, faster Water Wheel tap, and armor on the held version give it much better PvP routes while also making its PvE rotations smoother. Its weakness is that it still relies on getting its timing right, especially against aggressive players.
- Sound (A Tier): Sound remains a strong choice for Dungeons and group PvE, where its area pressure and ability to clear waves shine. It also works in PvP, especially with Uzui, but recent changes took away much of its previous guard pressure. So it is no longer the overwhelming option it once was.
- Serpent (A Tier): Serpent is excellent for PvP thanks to its barrages, mobility, and ability to keep pressure on a target. Its percentage health damage and boss utility also make it useful in PvE and Dungeons. Its grab-losing range and group value keep it out of S Tier, and it is less forgiving when you cannot maintain close range.
- Insect (B Tier): Insect still has excellent combo potential, Poison synergy, and strong offensive routes. But the latest changes hurt its consistency. It traded some of its previous i-frame safety for armor, lost a strict stun confirm, and now has heavier stamina and cooldown demands. It remains dangerous in PvP and useful in PvE, especially with Kocho, but there are simply fewer reasons to place it above the current A Tier styles.
