In the One Piece manga, the Five Elders (Gorosei) are unleashing their wrath in equal measure to thwart Dr. Vegapunk’s message, unraveling the mysteries of the world. Among the five monstrous beings, a certain elder known as Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro is wreaking havoc with his devil powers in tandem with his swordsmanship at Egghead Island.
Spoilers Warning: This article contains spoilers about the story and the characters in the One Piece manga. We suggest you read the manga (up to chapter 1115) to avoid ruining the intended experience.
When the demonic forms of the Gorosei were revealed, I was blown away by St. Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro‘s skeletal horse form. Apart from his monster form, he can turn into a hybrid to make use of his sword. For a long time, fans have been theorizing that this sword could be the Shodai Kitetsu, a Supreme Grade sword. But it hasn’t been confirmed by Oda yet.
In his hybrid form, he was seen eradicating every Pacifista on Egghead Island at a faster pace by integrating his devil fruit abilities with his sword skills. Fans were shocked by the old man’s amazing swordsmanship.
Now, in One Piece chapter 1115, Nusjuro accomplished a tremendous feat by sending a gigantic slash that split the entire labophase into two. I believe this is an incredible feat similar to Mihawk splitting a ship into pieces and swordplay during the Marineford War.
While we certainly haven’t seen the complete powers of this elder, still he is creating quite a storm to prove that he is one of the strongest contenders to be the strongest swordsman in One Piece.
Nusjuro is confirmed to possess at least two forms of Haki, and I can assure you that he will possess Conqueror’s haki as well as advanced forms of haki. As one of the strongest antagonists in the series, he is destined to be bestowed with these powers.
He appears to be the strongest swordsman in existence, thus Zoro now has to take on this guy along with Mihawk in his quest to become the best swordsman. Do you think St. Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro is among the top leagues of swordsmen? Let us know in the comments below.
