Spangram Answer for NYT Strands on April 3
The Spangram for today’s NYT Strands is BROADWAY, as in musical theatre shows. It runs from top to bottom on the letters grid.
Apart from the Spangram, you’ll need to find 6 theme words in today’s puzzle. Meanwhile, if you are having a tough time getting through your first couple of Strands, check out my guide on how to play NYT Strands. I have also added a couple of tips to help you pick up the tricks of the trade.
Anyway, with that being said, let’s go to the next section. However, proceed only if you are ready to check out the theme words.
List of Theme Words for NYT Strands on April 3
If you have scrolled this far, you are probably ready to see the answers. So, let’s take a look at today’s theme words in Strands:
- CATS
- WICKED
- CABARET
- GREASE
- HAIRSPRAY
- CAROUSEL
As always, we kicked off the game marking random words on the board and playing around. We came across CATS accidentally, and Akshay exclaimed that it had to be about musical plays. With that, we found BROADWAY as the Spangram.
Then, we found WICKED running vertically on the top left side of the Spangram. Under it, we found HAIRSPRAY accidentally and it turned out to be a theme word. Who knew that was a play? Sadly, that’s where our knowledge about broadways ran out, and we had to rely on Google.
Thanks to Google’s auto-generated listicle, we found GREASE and CAROUSEL. Then, while only the top right corner was left to be solved, we couldn’t figure it out. We had to rely on some help us make something out of it and finally made CAROUSEL from the grids. With that, we concluded our most painful Strands solve.
While we didn’t use hints, we sure did rely on Google and AI a lot. Hence, those do count as hints, and well, we were bad at today’s game. Looks like me and Akshay have broad ways to go.
What about you? Did you have a tough time-solving today’s game as well? If not, how many hints did you take? Let me know in the comments down below!
