Connections Answer for January 9
Are you still stuck with the puzzle? In that case, the answers to today’s Connections are:
- CLEANING SUPPLIES – Broom, Mop Rag, Sponge
- ELEMENTS OF COOKING, PER SAMIN NOSRAT – Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat
- THINGS THAT MAKE YOU SNEEZE – Dust, Pepper, Pollen, Smoke
- TITULAR FICTIONAL DETECTIVES – Magnum, Monk, Shaft, Tracy
Well, it was about time NYT Connections cleaned up its act. I began the puzzle by luckily getting the Blue category first. Thankfully, I did not sneeze while thinking of all these words. I have mild OCD and hence could easily identify cleaning items. I got the Yellow category next.
I’ll be honest; I have no idea who Samin Nosrat was. So, I just resorted to combining all the cooking ingredients I could think of. Once I was at the end of my wits, I added Acid to the mix and luckily got it.
With only four words, I got them all together. I had no idea what they all meant, but I still got the Purple category and the NYT Connections for January 9.
