Connections Answer for January 19
Are you still stuck with the puzzle? In that case, the answers to today’s Connections are:
- SUNDAE TOPPINGS – Cherry, Fudge, Nuts, Sprinkles
- LEAVE HIGH AND DRY – Desert, Ditch, Maroon, Strand
- “PHOOEY!” – Curses, Darn, Rats, Shoot
- WORDS IN TONGUE TWISTERS – Fuzzy, Peppers, Seashells, Woodchuck
To be honest, I had even figured out the Purple category for today’s NYT Connections early on but held off on it. I instead began with the Green category this time. How did I know it was about leaving high and dry? Simple. The word Desert had an S missing.
Once done, I led myself to getting the Blue category. There’s the infamous “Rats!” dialogue imprinted in my head from a movie. This helped me connect those words and nail this category down. The Yellow section itself was quite generic and easy to solve.
With that came the Purple category. I connected all those words and got the NYT Connections for January 19.
