Connections Answer for January 1

Are you still stuck with the puzzle? In that case, the answers to today’s Connections are:

• GARDENING NOUNS/VERBS – Plant, Seed, Water, Weed
• KINDS OF SALADS – Ceaser, Greek, Green, Wedge
• CLASSIC GAME SHOWS, FAMILIARLY – Feud, Millionaire, Pyramid, Wheel
• W + VOWEL – Way, Wee, Why, Whoa

I had an inkling that today’s NYT Connections would be New Year-related. However, there was no such luck. Nonetheless, I began my journey by solving the Yellow category quite easily as it was gardening-related. The green category came next with a healthy mention of salads.

The only reason I got the Purple category was because I combined all the words starting with W. Nonetheless, I’m happy I did.

I finally had four words left. I combined them all with the Blue category and got the NYT Connections for January 1.
