Connections Answer for February 13

Are you still stuck with the puzzle? In that case, the answers to today’s Connections are:

• ENCOURAGE, WITH “ON” – Egg, Goad, Spur, Urge
• SPHERICAL FOODS – Jawbreaker, Meatball, Mozzarella, Orange
• GROCERY STORE AISLES – Dairy, Frozen, Produce, Snack

While I had some horrendous luck with the Connections puzzle yesterday, today was much better. I started out strong, as before, by solving the Blue category first. The word Snack didn’t really make a lot of sense to me here, but considering it was the only sensible option, I went with that as the last word.

I moved on to Yellow but then stopped. After pondering what an orange and Jawbreaker have in common, I realized that it is the shape. This led me to Meatball and Mozzarella, and I got the Green category.

The easier Yellow section came rushing after, and I solved that in a jiffy. With only four words left, as usual, I got them all together, as well as the Purple category and NYT Connections puzzle for February 13.
