Connections Answer for December 29

Today’s NYT Connections takes a step back into the retro with its slang. At least that’s what greeted me when I started with the Green category. Even though I’m a 90s baby, I had enough idea of these slangs to get the category easily.
I then moved onto to the Yellow category and started selecting all the clothes I could think of. At first I was confused and thought the category was Tops. Well, in any case I was close enough.
This is where I must admit I lost NYT Connections today. And it is purely because I found both the Blue and Purple categories quite stupid. I did try to make any meaningful connection to all the words but it didn’t end up working. I finally ran out of tries and got the NYT Connections for December 29.
