Connections Answer for December 16
Are you still stuck with the puzzle? In that case, the answers to today’s Connections are:
- FARM TOOLS – Hoe, Plow, Rake, Sickle
- SCHEME – Plot, Ploy, Ruse, Trick
- MAKE HAPPY – Amuse, Delight, Please, Tickle
- ONOMATOPOEIA – Bang, Plop, Smash, Thud
I have not farmed a day in my life. However, I have played just enough Minecraft to recognize some of the most popular tools here. With that little knowledge, I got the Yellow category in just a few minutes. The Blue category, while a bit tricky, was still easy enough to nail down. Or at least it became easy after I connected Delight and Tickle.
The only reason I solved the Green category is because Ruse is one of my favorite words. Once I made the connection to Trick, I got the others in the bag quickly enough.
With that, I had only four words left. I got them all together, got the Purple category, which I could have never solved myself, and with it, the NYT Connections puzzle for December 16.
