Connections Answer for December 12
Are you still stuck with the puzzle? In that case, the answers to today’s Connections are:
- MURKY CONDITION – Cloud, Fog, Haze, Mist
- FOLLOW – Shadow, Tail, Track, Trail
- PINBALL MACHINE COMPONENTS – Ball, Bumper, Flipper, Plunger
- _ _ _ LAND COUNTRIES – Ice, Ire, Fin, Nether
I have seen The Mist enough times to know when the Yellow category is about those words. So I quickly grabbed all the murky words I could find and got them together. My next target was combining Shadow and Trail, among others, to conclude the Green category.
I’ll be honest: I mistook Plunger for the completely wrong one. However, a friend who is really into arcade machines recognized Ball and Flipper and suggested I connect them to get the Blue. Turns out, she was right.
I’m thankful it was the Purple category that was left because I really wasn’t in the mood for some cheeky wordplay today. I connected them all together and got the Purple and also the NYT Connections for December 12.
