How to Redeem Genshin Impact Codes (Website & In-Game)
Note: The in-game redeeming method doesn’t work for iOS players. So, they will have to use the Website method to redeem the Genshin Impact codes.
Genshin Impact codes can be redeemed in two ways. One is via the official website, and the other is via the in-game option. But before either can be used, Genshin Impact players must reach Adventure Rank 10 to unlock their in-game mailbox. Complete the Prologue chapter to quickly reach the AR 10 level and follow the steps below:
1. Website Method to Redeem Genshin Codes
- Open the Genshin Impact redeem code website.
- Log in with your Genshin account and select the correct server.
- Now, input a working code in the Redemption Code box.
- Click the Redeem button to get your rewards.
Once you’ve redeemed the Genshin codes on the Hoyoverse website, follow the steps below to see the rewards in-game:
- Launch Genshin Impact on your phone or PC.
- Log in to your account and pick the correct server.
- Open the in-game Mail by going to Paimon Menu > Mail.
- Claim all the rewards to use them in-game.
2. In-Game Method to Redeem Genshin Codes
- Run Genshin Impact and log in to your account.
- Enter the correct server and open the game’s menu.
- Head to Settings and then click on Account.
- Select Redeem Now in the Redeem Code section.
- Enter the active code in the empty box and click Exchange to redeem the rewards.
- Now, open the in-game Mailbox and claim the reward.

How to Get More Primogems in Genshin Impact

- Events: The next best source to get Primogems is Events. These are generally time-limited, so make sure to complete them to earn more rewards.

- Timely Exploration Rewards: Ever since version 5.1, Genshin has started a timely exploration reward system, rewarding tons of Primogems for exploring a new region within the time limit.
- Spiral Abyss: Complete Spiral Abyss every season to earn a good amount of Primogems.
- Imaginarium Theatre: Another end-game mode that you can play every season to earn gems and other rewards.
- Chests: Opening chests is another quick way to gather up a ton of Primogems for your account. Ordinary chests give 2 Primogems, while the higher rarity ones can give anywhere between 20 and 40 gems.
- Adventurer’s Handbook: New players can quickly gather up a ton of Primogems by finishing the requirements in the Adventurer’s Handbook.
- Shrines: Use Shrine keys to open Shrine of Depths in each region and obtain Luxurious chests that contain 40 Primogems with other rewards each.
- Statue of the Seven: Collecting and turning in Oculi to the Statue of the Seven will earn you Primogems from the reward section.
- Achievements: Complete specific tasks to unlock Achievements, which are a great source of Primos.
- Mail Rewards: Keep an eye on your In-game Mailbox, as Genshin Impact can send gifts or compensation rewards that often feature Primogems.
- Genesis Crystals: If you are short on Primos and don’t mind spending IRL money, then you can purchase Genesis Crystals from the shop and turn them into Primogems.
Genshin Codes Not Working? Here’s How to Fix It
Genshin Impact codes may not work for various reasons. To troubleshoot the issue, you have to first figure out the problem. The game will show you a specific message when you are unable to redeem the codes. Here is what each message means in Genshin Impact:
- Redemption code has already been used: This message means that you have already redeemed the code or a similar code with the same rewards.
- Redemption Code has reached max usage limit: You will get this error for limited codes, which only a specific number of players can use. Once the code hits its limit, it will show this error.
- Invalid redemption code: This error means that the code you have entered is incorrect.
- Redemption in cooldown: You will get this error message when trying to redeem multiple codes one after another. Wait a few seconds between redeeming each code to avoid this error.
- Redemption code expired: This error code means that the code has expired.
