Dell is one of the many tech brands that have shown their presence at the ongoing CES 2022 tradeshow. Dell has taken the virtual stage to refresh its high-end XPS 13 laptop with the launch of the Dell XPS 13 Plus. The laptop involves a number of attractions, including the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processor, a sleek design, a “not visible to the naked eye” touchpad, and more. Here’s a look at the details.
Dell XPS 13 Plus is the Latest Flagship Laptop
The XPS 13 Plus comes with a sleek design and a flat keyboard with large keys. From the looks of it, you might feel that the trackpad is missing but that’s not the case. It’s very much there, provides a haptics experience, and is made up of glass; it’s just invisible! Another highlight of this laptop is the capacitive touch bar at the top portion of the keyboard, which makes it easier for users to juggle between media and function keys with ease.
The laptop comes with a 13.4-inch InfinityEdge display with support for up to 4K screen resolution, DisplayHDR 500, Dolby Vision, and up to 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. There are four display variants: a 4K UHD+ touch screen, a 3.5K OLED touch screen, a Full HD+ touch display, and a Full HD+ non-touch display. The laptop is powered by the latest Intel 12th Gen 28W P-series processors that come with 14 cores and 20 threads. It is coupled with the Intel Iris-X Graphics.
The processor on the XPS 13 Plus is paired with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 2TB of PCIe SSD. Ports-wise, it comes with support for two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB-C to USB-A adaptor, and more.
Additionally, the laptop comes with a 720p webcam for an improved video-calling experience, a 55WHr battery with Express Charge 2.0, Windows 11 pre-installed, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth version 5.2, and more. The laptop comes in Graphite and Platinum color options.
The Dell XPS 13 Plus will be available globally in Spring 2022. It will retail starting at $1,199 (around Rs 89,177).
Dell UltraSharp 32 4K Monitor Announced Too
Dell has also introduced the UltraSharp 32-inch 4K Video Conferencing monitor. The monitor comes with an UltraSharp webcam, echo canceling dual-array microphones, and 14W speakers for enhanced video-calling sessions.
The display supports IPS Black technology and VESA DisplayHDR 400 for enhanced details, color accuracy, and improved contrasts. It is also certified for Microsoft Teams and comes with various privacy and productivity features. There’s also support for extensive ports and connectivity options. The monitor comes in a platinum silver finish and will be available globally on March 29.
The company has also introduced the Dell Migrate functionality for people to easily transfer data from any Windows-based PC to the new XPS device.
