In Short
  • Crunchyroll is introducing a new "Multiple Profiles" feature on its platform before the end of April 2024.
  • This feature will be available exclusively to Crunchyroll premium members, and they can create up to 5 profiles.
  • Users can concurrently stream their favorite anime without affecting each other's recommendations.

With Funimation merging with Crunchyroll, the anime streaming platform has become the ultimate destination for watching the latest anime. It features over 1,000+ shows and movies with new anime like Solo Leveling, Kaiju No. 8, and more being added over time. Crunchyroll has amassed millions of subscribers, but a certain important feature has been missing, i.e. the option to create multiple profiles. After a prolonged wait, this feature is finally coming, and I could not be more thankful.

Earlier today, Crunchyroll officially announced that the “Multiple Profiles feature” will start rolling out before the end of this month. Moreover, they have also stated that this feature will only become available to Crunchyroll Premium members.

Premium members will now have the option to add up to five profiles in a single household. Now, multiple users can stream their favorite anime while tainting each other’s recommendations.

Along with multiple profiles, you can also now use the following features coming to the platform:

  • Users will have the option to choose their own avatars for the profile icon.
  • Extra Parental Control features will be available
  • Separate Crunchyroll curated lists
  • More personalized recommendations for each profile

This has been the most-wanted feature by Crunchyroll fans for the longest time. Finally, Crunchyroll listened to the feedback and answered the call today. We can finally relax and stream all our favorite guilty-pleasure anime without having to worry about sharing the profile with friends.
