Android Q will Come with a New Assistant Animations

How to Install Android Q Beta GSI on non-Pixel Devices

Google is currently beta testing Android Q with developers and users that have compatible test devices and the upcoming flavor of Android definitely looks impressive with a bunch of really cool features, and even a system-wide native dark mode (finally!). Now, in Android Q beta 5, there’s reportedly a new animation for when a user launches the Google Assistant.

Spotted by redditor u/Charizarlslie who shared it in the r/android_beta subreddit, the new animation looks clean and honestly kind of attractive. Thanks to u/Charizarlslie for also creating a GIF of the new animation so we can all take a look at it.

Personally, I really like this new animation, however, it’s important to note that this is a change Google made in the 5th beta for Android Q, so there’s no telling whether the company will keep it in by the time we reach the final stable release for Android Q later this year.

Android Q brings a lot of big changes to the world’s most popular mobile operating system. It brings, like I mentioned earlier, a native dark mode, improved location and privacy controls, themes, new navigation gestures (because honestly the old ones are really bad), a faster sharing pane, and maybe even a built-in screen recorder (please).

There’s a lot to look forward to in the Android Q beta 6 that’s scheduled to be released next month, since it’s expected to be the final beta before Google launches the stable Android Q. Features in beta 6 should more or less make it into the stable Android Q build as well, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for native screen recording and this slick new Assistant animation.
