Deadpool & Wolverine is the third movie in the popular franchise. The movie acts as a cannon for Deadpool to move from 20th Fox Century to Marvel Studios, which was also the primary reason for the film’s hype ahead of its release. Now that Deadpool 3 is out and has wowed the ardent fans of Merc with a Mouth, fans are curious to know if there will be Deadpool 4. Let’s find out.
Warning: This article contains some major spoilers for Deadpool 3.
Is Deadpool 4 Announced
No, Deadpool 4 hasn’t yet been announced by Marvel.
Cassandra Nova wanted to destroy the Multiverse with Time Ripper, and no one could have stopped her except the lead superheroes. However, Nova isn’t someone who can be easily defeated. Well, we saw her killing Chris Evans’ Human Torch in the blink of an eye, and Wolverine struggled to get the upper hand against her during their first encounter.
In the final act of Deadpool 3, we believed that we might get to witness either Wolverine or Deadpool’s death, but thankfully, that doesn’t happen. Instead, we get to see the team of the good guys celebrating their win at the end. That’s why fans are hopeful that maybe Ryan Reynolds will make a comeback in Deadpool 4 again. However, it looks like that won’t be the case, and we might actually not see Deadpool 4 happening.
In an interview with Variety, Ryan Reynolds revealed, “I could see any version of it. I can imagine a solo movie, being part of an ensemble. I can imagine that this is also the last time. I never feel anything other than that.” However, when asked about a fourth film on The Tonight Show, Ryan Reynolds funnily replied that Blake Lively and his children would leave him if he proceeded with Deadpool 4.
“Oh god no. My wife and children will divorce me. Jimmy, I have no prenup with any of them. I will be capital ‘B’ broke, and in turn, probably then doing ‘Deadpool 4′ ’cause I’d need the money.” – Ryan Reynolds
That being said, for the time being, nothing about the fourth Deadpool film is confirmed, so let’s not jump to any conclusion. This can go both ways: we might not see another individual Deadpool movie happening, or we might get to see another film if the latest installment does incredibly well at the box office.
On the flip side, we might see Deadpool appear in Avengers Secret Wars as Kevin Feige has said that Deadpool 3 opens the portal for Mutants’ entry into MCU.
