8 years after Moana’s release in the theaters, Moana 2 has finally arrived, and even though sequels released after such a long time usually tend to lose their original touch, Moana 2 surprisingly holds together pretty well. Fans of the franchise cannot get enough of Moana and the talks of threequel are already picking up heat. So, will there be a Moana 3? Let’s find out!
Moana 2 Mid-Credit Scene Almost Sets Up Moana 3
As Moana 2, reaches its climax, the story seems pretty well rounded up, that is, until the mid-credit scene in the film pops up. Even though Moana 2 does not feature a post-credit scene the mid-credit scene is more than enough to hint that Moana 3 is indeed on the cards.
In the scene, the thunder God Nalo appears in person for the first time and teams up with Tamatoa the crab from the first Moana movie stating, “This isn’t over… No, we’re just getting started!”. So, technically, Moana 2 ended on a cliffhanger and demands Moana 3.
On top of that, a live-action adaptation of Moana is in the works, so there is a possibility that the live-action one could be a sequel to Moana 2. However, nothing is officially confirmed since Disney has not released an official statement. So, stay tuned with us, if something pops up, we will let you know ASAP!
