Spoiler Warning: This post contains major spoilers for the Solo Leveling Ragnarok manhwa and web novel. So, proceed at your own risk.
Where Is Sung Jinwoo in Solo Leveling Ragnarok?

Jinwoo fights the magic beasts and the Monarchs in Solo Leveling, and we thought everything went back to normal with the end of the Dragon Monarch. However, things are not as straightforward as they seem, as cosmic Outer Gods known as Itarim, who are of the same race as the Absolute Being, look forward to invading Earth. So, Jinwoo had to travel to the outer space to fight them.
Following the birth of Sung Suho, Jinwoo and Cha Hae-in mysteriously vanished from Earth after some time. In the Solo Leveling epilogue, we see a strange portal appearing in the sky and Jinwoo and his Shadow army entering the gate. However, Cha Hae-in isn’t with him. You can learn about Cha Hae-in’s whereabouts while you are here.
At the time, we had no clue what the dimensional rift was and why it showed up out of nowhere on Earth. However, in Solo Leveling Ragnarok, Beru reveals to Sung Suho that the portal was the doing of the Itarim race, and Jinwoo had been fighting these celestial bodies to stop them from claiming the unlimited Mana on Earth.
Suho was born with powers, and when he started shunning his classmates with his extraordinary abilities, Jinwoo had to seal them. He wanted his son to experience a normal life. Suho lived his life without his parents, and when he grew up, Jinwoo sent Beru to help him unlock and remember the powers he holds within.
So, when Beru appears in front of Suho, the boy experiences some flashbacks, and soon, he recalls the time when Jinwoo suppressed his powers. That’s when he learned about the whereabouts of his father.
Jinwoo Leaves Sung Suho Behind to Protect Earth

At the end of the original manhwa, Jinwoo becomes someone who can alter reality and exist beyond space and time. After defeating Antares, one of the strongest Monarchs in Solo Leveling, he resets the timeline and makes everyone forget what happened when the mysterious gates appeared on Earth.
To be precise, in the Solo Leveling universe, not even the powerful Monarchs can match Jinwoo’s level. So, it’s evident why, after learning about the Outer Gods, he decides to leave everything that he loves behind and embark on a new journey. He knew that after growing up, his son would be able to stand his ground against the threats that would eventually start showing up on Earth.
Jinwoo fights the Outer Gods with his shadow army, but he soon discovers that he needs someone who can fight these powerful enemies alongside him. So, he sends the dependable Beru to help Suho unlock his powers and train him for the greater cause.
However, even though Suho activates his powers and trains harder, we can’t say that he can surpass the level of the Shadow Monarch without transforming into a Monarch himself.
Jinwoo plays a significant part in Ragnarok’s storyline, but so far, the manhwa has only allowed us to meet the powerful character through flashbacks. However, we shouldn’t lose hope and keep our fingers crossed to witness the reunion of the father-son duo.
