1. Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette Nichols
Rebecca Ferguson who got introduced as Juliette Nichols aka Jules later in the show turned out to be the main character of Silo. At first, she was working as a Mechanic in the deep down fixing generators. However, after her boyfriend George’s mysterious death, she became a Sheriff to investigate the case. Now her actions to uncover the truth led to her getting expelled from her Silo but she survived in the finale. Jules has the sole responsibility to unravel the dark secrets and mysteries of Silo in season 2 and let’s see how she can pull that off in the upcoming episodes.
2. Tim Robbins as Bernard Holland
Tim Robbins (Academy Awards Winner) who is best known for his role as Andy in The Shawshank Redemption plays a very important role in Silo. Time Robbins as Bearnard Holland, Head of IT seemed like a normal supporting character at first. But it was revealed later that he is a manipulative character who has been secretly controlling everything from the shadows. Bernard took on an important role and is ready to sacrifice everything for the greater good of Silo. Let’s see how he can stop the people from learning the truth in the second season.
3. Common as Robert Sims
We also have yet another Academy Award Winner in the Silo cast who is none other than Common, the American rapper. Common plays as the stone-hearted Robert Sims, the Head of Security who only cares deeply about his family. Sims has served as the right-hand man of Bernard in assisting him with not letting any truth get out throughout the show. He was considered to be the shadow of Bernard to replace him in the future so let’s see how Mr. Sims is going to rise in Silo season 2.
4. Dame Harriet Mary Walter as Martha Walker
Harriet Walter, the famed British actress portrays Martha Walker, a close friend of Juliette Nichols. She spent 25 years inside her room as the Electrical Engineer in the bottom Down Deep area of Silo. Ever since she met Juliette as a kid, she became an important character in her life. Walk saved Jules’ life by replacing the faulty tapes with her good ones in season 1. So, we can look forward to Walker’s contribution to helping her friend Jules in season 2.
5. Chinaza Uche as Paul Billings
Chinaza Uche took on the role of Paul Billings who suffers from the syndrome in the show. Paul was the initial replacement for Holston as the new sheriff. However, since Jules assumed the role of Sheriff, Billings became a deputy. Billings lives by seriously abiding by the pact but after he discovers the book relic left by Jules, his mind begins to change. As Jules has left Silo, Billings would become the Sheriff as the Judicial wanted him to be in the second season of Silo.
6. Avi Nash as Lukas Kyle
Avi Nash who is known for his role as Siddiq in The Walking Dead joined the cast of Silo as Lukas Kyle last season. Lukas worked as a systems analyst in the IT department of Silo but his curiosity to learn the truth of the outside world pulled him down in his life. He had a crush on Jules but when she sought his help to access the hard drive, he refused out of fear. But Bernard found out his actions for which he was punished to work in the mines for ten years. The trailer for season 2 shows Lukas reaching the water beneath the Silo so we expect him to play a vital role.
7. Iain Glen as Dr. Pete Nichols
Iain Glen is a beloved Scottish actor, best known as Ser Jorah Mormont from Game of Thrones. He played Dr. Pete Nichols who is the father of Juliette in Silo. Dr. Pete is a tragic character who had to witness the death of his love because of the Judicial department. Furthermore, he had to live separately from his child for a long time as Jules wanted to move to Down Deep. Fortunately, Pete and his daughter Juliette were able to work things out in the end. He helped his daughter uncover the truth and so we expect him to do a similar role in Silo season 2.
8. Remmie Milner as Shirley Campbell
Remmie Milner (Lena from His Dark Materials) appears as Jule’s friend, Shirley Campbell in Silo. Shirley is also a part of the Mechanical crew in the Down Deep. She deeply cared for her friend Jules as evident when got furious when Knox revealed Jules’ location to the Judicial. Based on the Silo season 2 trailer, Remmie Milner could play a very pivotal role in leading the new rebellion brewing inside the Silo.
9. Tanya Moodie as Judge Meadows
Inside the Silo, the Judge is known to be the overseer who makes all the decisions. Meadows (played by Tanya Moodie) was the judge of the Judicial Department at the current time. However, we later learned that she is just a figurehead as Bernard was the one pulling the strings. She accepted to be played like a puppet but will she redeem herself in Silo season 2, we have to wait and find out.
10. Steve Zahn as Solo
It looks like Jules (who was exiled in the finale) will enter a new Silo and meet new characters living inside it. So, among the new characters, Juliette will first meet Solo (played by Steve Zahn) in season 2. Steve Zahn talked about his role as Solo in an interview “I wanted to sign on because of this character pitch. And then reading Season 2, and watching Season 1—it’s rare that you can jump into something that’s already well established and successful and that looks great.” Let’s see what Solo has in store for Jules in the new silo.
These are the most important characters who will be appearing in season 2 of Silo.
