Choosing the right class in Runaways can make escaping the police much easier, especially when you consider the starting loadout alongside the stat bonuses. Some classes are built for combat, while others are better for carrying loot, moving quickly, or surviving dangerous encounters. Our ultimate Runaways tier list ranks every class so you can pick the best one for you.
Runaways Classes Tier List
Before choosing classes in Runaways, remember that each one changes how you approach a run through its starting equipment and passive bonuses. Movement speed is especially useful for reaching targets and escaping the police, while backpacks, weapons, healing items, and breach tools can save you money during a run.
In our Runaways tier list, we have ranked the classes from S to D tier, where S is the best you can get, and D is the one you must skip. While some A- or B-tier ones are viable for beginners, nothing can beat the level of the higher-tier classes.
| Tier | Classes |
|---|---|
| S Tier | Ex-Military, Bounty Hunter, Breacher, Smuggler |
| A Tier | Juggernaut, Gang Member, Medic |
| B Tier | Contractor, Old CEO, Scout |
| C Tier | Brawler |
| D Tier | Basic |
Runaways Tier List for All Classes Explained
The best classes give you useful advantages throughout an entire run instead of helping in only one situation. So, once you redeem the Runaways codes for extra Credz and unlock classes, it is important to invest in the right one.
Want to know how we rank each class in their respective position? Here is our full Runaways tier list for best classes explained:
- Ex-Military (S Tier): Gives you heavy armor, a sniper, a Heavy Bullet Pack, and a Large Backpack alongside 30% stronger melee and 15% faster running. It has one of the strongest complete loadouts in the game and is excellent for players who want combat power without sacrificing mobility.
- Bounty Hunter (S Tier): Gives you a Machete, Pistol, and Light Bullet Pack with 20% faster running and 10% stronger melee. It is one of the best all-round classes because the speed helps with looting and escaping while the mixed weapons handle different combat situations.
- Breacher (S Tier): Starts with a Medium Backpack, Shotgun, C4, and Shotgun Bullet Pack while gaining 40% stronger melee. The combination of storage, explosives, and combat power makes it especially useful for high-value robberies and tougher targets. Its high cost is the main weakness.
- Smuggler (S Tier): Gives you a Small Backpack and Crowbar with 20% faster running and 10% weaker melee. The speed and extra storage are extremely useful for getting loot and escaping quickly, while the Crowbar adds useful robbery utility. It is also one of the best classes for its price.
- Juggernaut (A Tier): Starts with Light Armor, a Minigun, Medium Backpack, and Light Bullet Box while doubling your health. It is excellent for surviving heavy combat, but the 20% reduction to running speed makes escaping much harder.
- Gang Member (A Tier): Gives you a Blue Cow, Small Backpack, MAC, and Light Bullet Pack with 10% faster running and only 5% less health. The complete starting loadout covers storage, ranged combat, and ammunition, making it a strong general-purpose class.
- Medic (A Tier): Starts with two Medic Bags, Light Armor, and a Medic Pack while gaining 20% more health at the cost of 5% running speed. It is a great choice for players who value survivability and want more room for mistakes during dangerous runs.
- Contractor (B Tier): Gives you a Mace, Pistol, and Light Bullet Pack with 10% stronger melee, 5% more health, and 5% slower running. It is a reliable combat class, but the lack of a backpack or specialized robbery tool makes it less useful than higher-tier options.
- Old CEO (B Tier): Starts with valuable items including a Gold Ruby Necklace, Diamond, Gold Tiara, and Diamond Ring, but has 5% slower running and 15% less health. The valuable starting loadout can help with early money-making, although the stat penalties make combat and escapes harder.
- Scout (B Tier): Gives you a Small Backpack and Bat with 10% faster running, 5% weaker melee, and 20% less health. The speed and storage are useful for cheaper loot runs, but the large health reduction makes Scout much less forgiving than Smuggler.
- Brawler (C Tier): Starts with only a Knuckle and gains 5% stronger melee while running 10% slower. The melee bonus is too small to justify the movement penalty, and the basic loadout lacks storage, ranged weapons, or robbery utility.
- Basic (D Tier): Costs nothing and gives you no special loadout or abilities. It is fine for learning the game, but every other class provides some form of useful bonus or starting equipment once you have enough Credz.
That ends our Runaways tier list for best classes so you can pick the best loadout and skills. Which items in Runaways are you using to pair properly? Let us know in the comments.
Ex-Military, Bounty Hunter, Breacher, and Smuggler are the strongest overall classes, with each offering a different mix of combat power, mobility, storage, or robbery utility.
