One Piece Live Action Season 1 Episode List (2023)

The One Piece Live-Action series is set to have a total of eight episodes in Season 1. All the eight episodes will be released together on August 31, 2023, only on Netflix. Therefore, the first season of the One Piece live-action series will focus on the first saga, covering four arcs from the manga.

So, the eight episodes are split into four sets featuring two episodes each, serving as a mini-arc and introducing us to the fascinating world of One Piece. The episode titles for the One Piece live-action reveal the context of each episode, and we have compiled all the details here for you.

Episode 1: Romance Dawn

Plot: Monkey D. Luffy, an optimistic young pirate with dreams of finding One Piece, sets off in search of the loyal crew he needs to navigate the vast oceans. His journey begins when he helps Koby, a deckhand forced into servitude, escape an undesirable situation. While in Shells Town, Luffy meets Roronoa Zoro, a famed pirate hunter, and Nami, a Master thief, and the three form a tenuous alliance.

The first episode of the One Piece Live-Action series will adapt the first arc of the manga with the same title. It will bring to life Luffy’s first brave adventure into the seas in search of crew members. Luffy will meet two important characters, namely Zoro and Nami, in this episode.

This trio will work together to get away from the Marines, and more importantly, Luffy’s backstory with another famous character, Shanks will be explored in this episode.

Episode 2: The Man in the Straw Hat

Plot: Luffy, Zoro, and Nami find themselves imprisoned on an island overtaken by the deranged clown pirate, Buggy. Koby joins the Marines and proves his mettle.

The second episode will adapt the complete Orange Town arc in a single episode. The trio of Luffy, Nami, and Zoro will encounter another pirate called “Buggy the Star Clown” as well as his crew. Now this trio has to defeat the pirates and come up with an escape plan. On a side note, Koby and Helmeppo enroll in the Marines as they continue to pursue their dream.

Episode 3: Tell No Tales

• Anime Episodes: 9-18
• Manga Chapters: 22-41

Plot: Luffy, Zoro, and Nami land in Syrup Village, where they meet Usopp, a local who introduced the group to Kaya, a sickly shipyard heiress under the care of a trio of overbearing house staff. With the help of Koby, Vice Admiral Garp, a powerful marine, sets off in search of Luffy.

After their visit to Orange Town, the third episode will adapt the Syrup Village arc’s first half. Luffy, Zoro, and Nami reach this new village known as Syrup Village and meet a peculiar new character called Usopp. Together, they meet another character known as Kaya and things start to turn upside down for the crew.

While they are caught in a series of events, like adding fuel to a fire, one of the strongest marines in history, Garp starts to track down Luffy along with Koby for his actions at the Orange Town.

Episode 4: The Pirates Are Coming

Plot: Luffy, Zoro, and Nami fight their way through Kaya’s mansion, which has now become a prison. Usopp enlists the help of Koby, Helmeppo, and the Marines. Luffy finally gets the ship of his dreams as Garp closes in.

The fourth episode will cover the second half of the Syrup Village arc. The crew finds itself in a horrific situation inside Kaya’s mansion and has to fight their way out to escape. Meanwhile, the marines get close to capturing Luffy while he is having the time of his life and trying to get a gift from Kaya.

Episode 5: Eat at Baratie!

• Anime Episodes: 19-30
• Manga Chapters: 42-68

Plot: Luffy and the gang are tested in their ability to fight together on the high seas. They arrive at Baratie, a floating restaurant, where they encounter Sanji, a young chef with a love of fine dining. A duel on the docks shocks the group.

The fifth episode of the series will adapt the first half of the Baratie arc. After their adventures in the Syrup Village, the crew finds a floating restaurant in the midst of the seas. And a pivotal character called Sanji, who works as a chef at the floating restaurant, is introduced in this arc.

While the crew enjoys a fine dining experience, they are once again caught in a serious situation that involves the captain, Zoro, and Sanji.

Episode 6: The Chef and the Chore Boy

• Manga Chapters: 42-68

Plot: The group is ambushed by a threat no one sees coming. After a hard-fought battle at Baratie, Sanji finally follows his dreams, while another crew member shows their true colors.

The sixth episode in the series will adapt the latter half of the Baratie arc and marks the start of the next famous arc known as the Arlong Park arc. After the serious events at Baratie, Sanji chooses to pursue his dream (which I intentionally didn’t reveal here) alongside Luffy and co.

While things are going well for the crew, one of the core members will present a huge shock to the crew as well as to the audience. Watch this episode to find out!

Episode 7: The Girl with the Sawfish Tattoo

Plot: The crew comes to the aid of a member in dire need of a family.

The seventh episode, which we believe will be the most important episode of the series, will adapt the whole of Arlong Park arc. The crew makes their way to Nami’s hometown from Baratie. We will be given an in-depth look at Nami’s backstory along with the present moments in her hometown.

This episode will be packed with iconic scenes, great battles, and a lot of emotions as the crew comes to the rescue of their main crewmate.

Episode 8: Worst in the East

• Anime Episodes: 45, 48-53
• Manga Chapters: 96-100

Plot: A new pirate crew is born.

After wrapping up all of the hurdles they faced while putting together a crew, everyone will make their way to a special place called “Logue Town.” Therefore, the final episode will adapt a mini yet one of the vital arcs known as the Logue Town arc.

A substantial event will take place here, redefining the story in the live-action series. And with every crewmate stepping up, it leads to the birth of the Straw Hat Pirate crew in One Piece. We will also see Zoro’s sword collection grow in this arc.
