List of Theme Words for NYT Strands on May 11
If you have scrolled this far, you are probably ready to see the answers. So, let’s take a look at today’s theme words in Strands:
- DRESS
- CORSAGE
- TUXEDO
- DANCE
- COURT
- BOUTONNIERE
I’d lying if I told you that the Stands today didn’t give me a hard time. While I did have a good start, having found DRESS in the top right and CORSAGE in the top left, it didn’t last long. A little extra looking did give me DANCE in the middle, but I was at a loss after that. Had to use that one hint to get COURT.
From here on, it was fairly a smooth sail, and I found TUXEDO and PROMNIGHT as the Spangram for the day. However, the bottommost grids gave me the hardest time. I couldn’t figure out if it was a single Spangram-like word or two individual words. After a bit of trying I found BOUTONNIERE, and that was it for today’s round.
While I had to use that one hint, I don’t feel too bad about it. Not too bad at all, actually. What about you? Did you fare well at today’s Strands or did it turn out to be a complete disaster? Let me know in the comments down below!
