June 12 NYT Strands Solved

The theme instantly made me think about eggs, for that’s what I mostly buy in batches of 12. So, maybe it was about things that you buy by the dozen, I thought. After several minutes of desperate and fruitless looking, I decided it was time to use a hint. The hint gave me CAKE, and I was pretty sure that buying 12 cakes wasn’t normal.

I accidentally stumbled upon GLAZED at the bottom left, and was still not sure where this was going. So, I had to use another hint, which gave me HOLE, and that instantly brought DOUGHNUTS to my head. And yes, that turned out to be the Spangram for the day.

Rest of the puzzle fell into place, and I instantly found POWDERED, JELLY, and FROSTED. The remaining grids in the top left gave me HOLE and CIDER. That was it for the Strands today!

Sadly, with that, my no-hints streak came to an end, yet again. What about you though? On a scale of 1-10, how difficult was the Strands today for you? Do cry your heart out in the comments down below!
