S+ Tier Jujutsu Shenanigans Characters

These JJS characters control matches from start to finish. They have oppressive pressure, dangerous awakenings, and very few losing matchups when played properly.

Ten Shadows (Megumi)

Ten Shadows is one of the strongest neutral-focused characters in Jujutsu Shenanigans. Rabbit Escape and Divine Dog constantly pressure opponents into blocking, while Nue acts as one of the safest evasive bait tools in the game. The character also has excellent mobility and strong combo routing once the player properly learns summon timing.

The Awakening is where Ten Shadows becomes terrifying. Mahoraga and the extended move pool allow near one-shot combos with enough setup. The low HP pool and long cooldowns are real weaknesses, but the overall pressure and versatility easily keep Ten Shadows in S+ tier.

Blood Manipulator (Choso)

Blood Manipulator dominates through zoning, combo control, and explosive damage. Supernova alone gives incredible neutral control because opponents constantly need to watch both the player and the floating orb pressure at the same time. Flowing Red Scale also gives excellent movement during fights and makes Choso surprisingly mobile.

The Awakening gives the character access to devastating AoE pressure and strong single-target burst options. Wing King can easily confirm Plasma Wave and other high-damage attacks, especially against trapped opponents. The only major downside is how heavily Convergence drains Awakening resources, which makes resource management extremely important during longer fights.

Disaster Plants (Hanami)

Disaster Plants excels at oppressive pressure and long combo extensions. Bud Shot can completely deny ragdoll cancel gain, while the unique M1 interactions let the character continue pressure longer than most of the roster. The ranged tools also make neutral extremely uncomfortable for opponents trying to play safely.

Despite missing a full Awakening because of Early Access limitations, the character already feels extremely dangerous. The only real weaknesses are lower direct damage from the single M1 structure and punish windows on moves like Surging Thorns. Once the Awakening gets completed, Disaster Plants could easily become one of the most dominant characters in the entire game.

Puppet Master (Mechamaru)

Puppet Master thrives on constant pressure and safe ranged control. Heat Emission and Offload variants make the character difficult to punish, especially because many attacks remain safe even after counters or blocked interactions. Skilled players can also use puppets to pressure from multiple angles at once.

The Awakening turns Puppet Master into a massive stat-check character with revival mechanics, healing, and extremely long duration potential. However, the low base HP and inconsistent combo damage stop the character from becoming completely unfair. Absolute Mode is powerful, but it still requires proper resource management to stay effective.

S Tier Jujutsu Shenanigans Characters

These characters are extremely strong and can dominate matches consistently, but they have clearer weaknesses or require more effort to maintain pressure.

Star Rage (Yuki)

Star Rage earns its S-tier placement in our Jujutsu Shenanigans tier list thanks to its ranged pressure, evasive baiting, and explosive combo damage. Garuda Rebound creates constant pressure during neutral and can be delayed for mix-ups, while Rising Rage and Mass Breaker allow Yuki to extend combos in creative ways. The character also has strong route control because several attacks can be canceled and reused during pressure strings.

Unrestricted Density gives Star Rage one of the deadliest AoE finishers in the game and can instantly swing fights if opponents fail to react in time. However, the character still suffers from long windups, punishable endlag, and the lack of a true full Awakening moveset. Garuda Rebound also becomes risky against players with strong counters or parries, making spacing and timing extremely important during higher-level fights.

True Cannon (Ryu)

True Cannon revolves around massive ranged pressure and absurd burst damage. Granite Blast has extremely short cooldowns and can dominate both neutral and domain interactions. The character also performs very well at range thanks to charged beam pressure and counter interactions.

The main problem is consistency. Several moves become punishable at close range, and the Overheat mechanic can completely ruin momentum if mistimed. The Awakening also still feels incomplete, but the sheer DPS output alone keeps True Cannon highly threatening.

Lucky Coward (Haruta)

Lucky Coward is all about evasive pressure, tricky movement, and relentless disruption through the Helping Hand sword mechanics. Ambush and Trip create annoying openings during neutral, while Backstab and Dirty Play allow Haruta to extend pressure against careless opponents. The low cooldown structure also lets the character constantly harass enemies without giving them much breathing room.

The biggest strength comes from the miracle mechanics, which allow Haruta to survive situations that would normally kill most characters. Jawbreaker can also completely shut down opponents for several seconds if landed correctly, creating huge momentum swings during fights. However, the character is extremely fragile with only 70 HP, lacks a complete Awakening, and heavily depends on the sword tracking properly during chaotic fights.

A Tier Jujutsu Shenanigans Characters

In our JJS tier list, A-rank characters are strong, versatile, and fully capable of winning games consistently, but they either lack oppressive pressure or have more punishable weaknesses.

Crow Charmer (Mei Mei)

Mei Mei focuses heavily on aggressive melee pressure and aerial combo control. Fast attacks and large hitboxes allow the character to dominate close-range fights, especially against players who panic during downslam pressure. The overall kit is simple but very effective when played aggressively.

The issue is that most attacks remain blockable and predictable once opponents understand the matchup. Mei Mei can still overwhelm weaker players easily, but stronger opponents can punish repeated pressure patterns more consistently.

Restless Gambler (Hakari)

Restless Gambler is one of the easiest characters to learn while still being highly effective. Reserve Balls safely pressure opponents and force ragdoll cancels, while the overall combo structure is straightforward for beginners. The base cooldowns are also forgiving enough to maintain constant aggression.

Idle Death Gamble is the biggest reason the character remains strong. Jackpot state gives incredible regeneration, long Awakening uptime, and nonstop pressure potential. However, several block breakers are slow and punishable, and poor RNG can heavily reduce the value of the Awakening during serious fights.

The Honored One (Gojo)

Honored One is one of the most versatile characters in the Jujutsu Shenanigans tier list. The moveset works well at both close and mid range, while Limitless and the move variants create strong pressure opportunities during neutral. The character also has several attack variants that safely extend combos without much risk.

The Awakening remains one of the most destructive in Jujutsu Shenanigans. Hollow Purple and Infinite Void can completely shift the pace of a match instantly. Still, many blockable moves have punishable endlag, and Six Eyes struggles if opponents manage to stay too close for extended periods.

Cursed Partners (Yuta)

Cursed Partners relies on relentless pressure and combo creativity. Rika extensions allow the character to bypass ragdoll situations and continue pressure far longer than expected. Copy also gives the character strong adaptability because it steals some of the best tools from opposing characters.

The low damage output in base and blockable neutral tools prevents the character from reaching S+ tier. True Love Beam is also difficult to confirm in proper 1v1 situations. Even so, strong Yuta players can suffocate opponents through nonstop pressure and mix-ups.

Head of the Hei (Naoya)

Head of the Hei focuses heavily on speed, pressure, and fast M1 dominance. Double side dashes and quick movement allow Naoya to overwhelm slower opponents, while Hemorrhage setups create dangerous combo opportunities. The character also has multiple unblockable options depending on move variants.

The downside is consistency. Several neutral tools are punishable on whiff, and the low HP pool makes mistakes extremely costly. Even so, experienced players can completely take over matches through movement alone.

Defense Attorney (Higuruma)

Defense Attorney has a balanced kit with strong mix-up potential and excellent utility. Deadly Sentencing is one of the safest domains in the game because it doubles as both offense and defense. Domain Amplification also allows the character to aggressively challenge projectiles and Awakening attacks.

The Awakening itself feels weaker than most top-tier characters. Many attacks have long windups and lack reliable protection frames, making them punishable against experienced players. The character remains solid overall, but lacks the oppressive pressure needed to climb higher.

B Tier Jujutsu Shenanigans Characters

Most of the JJS characters in the B tier can still perform well, but they either require much more effort for weaker rewards or struggle against the current meta.

Perfection (Mahito)

Perfection is an extremely versatile character with several block breaks, combo routes, and move variants. The character can adapt to many different situations and even extend Awakening duration through successful Black Flash timing. Having two Awakening phases also gives Mahito strong comeback potential.

However, many attacks have noticeable windups and punishable recovery. Missing Black Flash timings can also completely ruin access to the stronger Awakening state. While still dangerous, Perfection currently feels more balanced than overwhelming.

Salaryman (Nanami)

Salaryman rewards precision and pressure management more than flashy combos. Ratio Point can heavily disrupt enemy movement and force uncomfortable M1 interactions. Severance Kick gives Nanami a reliable neutral option when spaced properly.

The problem is that the character relies heavily on maintaining momentum. Missing Ratio timing or losing pressure often leaves Nanami struggling to open defensive opponents. While skilled players can make the character shine, the effort required is much higher than most top-tier characters.

Vessel (Yuji/Sukuna)

Vessel has one of the highest skill ceilings in the game. Every move naturally chains into another, and nearly every attack can either break block, bypass ragdoll, or pressure domains. Cursed Strikes acts as a strong combo extender, while Combat Instincts helps bait counters and ragdoll cancels effectively.

Once Sukuna Awakening activates, the character becomes dramatically more oppressive thanks to ranged slashes and Malevolent Shrine pressure. The lower HP pool and melee-heavy base kit still leave Vessel vulnerable against strong zoning players. However, in skilled hands, the character can overwhelm almost anyone.

Aspiring Mangaka (Charles)

Aspiring Mangaka revolves around prediction, spacing, and pressure through foresight mechanics. Clairvoyance gives the character strong information control during fights, while Eye Catching and Sacrilege help maintain pressure and punish careless movement. The kit rewards players who can properly read enemy habits and capitalize on hesitation.

The character performs best when controlling the pace of neutral rather than forcing reckless engagements. However, the lower survivability and lack of overwhelming burst damage make mistakes much more punishing compared to higher-tier characters. In skilled hands, though, Aspiring Mangaka can become surprisingly oppressive through constant pressure and prediction-heavy gameplay.

C Tier Jujutsu Shenanigans Characters

Avoid C-tier characters from our Jujutsu Shenanigans tier list if you already have better ones unlocked.

Switcher (Todo)

Switcher focuses entirely on confusion and repositioning. Boogie Woogie creates mix-up opportunities that can completely throw opponents off rhythm, especially during team fights or chaotic engagements. Pebble Throw also gives Todo some useful movement options during neutral.

Unfortunately, the character struggles against experienced players who understand the matchup. Many attacks have slow startups and heavy endlag, while the Awakening lacks strong combo consistency because of knockback-heavy moves.

D Tier Jujutsu Shenanigans Characters

Just don’t use it at all unless you are new and you just want to have some fun.

Ko-Guy (Locust Guy)

Locust Guy focuses on evasive baiting, mobility, and extended combo pressure. Wing Throw and Fluttering Pounce give the character strong movement options during neutral, while Clever and Crushing Jaws help create damaging combo routes once the opponent loses momentum. The character also has one of the strongest unavoidable combo sequences in the game when executed correctly.

Directed Poison is the main reason Locust Guy stays threatening throughout long fights. If the poison fully connects, opponents are forced into defensive play while their HP slowly disappears over time. However, the lack of a proper Awakening moveset and the long cooldowns on several punishable abilities stop the character from climbing higher in the meta.
