Is Eden Brolin Coming Back for Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2?

Yellowstone is all set to come back with its Season 5 Part 2 and so far, several characters are set to return while some major ones are confirmed to leave the project. However, there has been a word revolving around the return of Eden Brolin to Yellowstone as Mia. Now the question we have is if she is going to make a return or not and in this article, let’s take a look at this character and if Eden Brolin’s Mia will return to Yellowstone Season 5.

Mia First Appeared in Yellowstone in Season 3

Mia debuted in Yellowstone in Season 3 Episode 3 and she met Jimmy at a rodeo event where she was competing as a barrel racer. She and Jimmy instantly hit it off but during the event, Jimmy got seriously injured leading their first date to be in a hospital room. After Jimmy recovers, Mia follows him to the Yellowstone ranch and starts working there. However, she begins to be a bad influence on Jimmy which starts affecting Jimmy’s loyalty to John Dutton’s commands. She also starts to put words in Jimmy’s ears forcing him to return to Rodeo even after he got seriously injured.

What Happened to Mia in Yellowstone?

Eden Brolin’s Mia was a really bad influence on Jimmy and an extremely toxic partner as well. She appeared in the show for a total of 14 episodes ranging from season 3 to season 4 and in her total screentime, she could have gotten Jimmy killed when she forced him to get back to rodeo by giving him an ultimatum saying “Be that man and you can have me. But be this one and I’ll see you later”. Afraid of losing her, Jimmy got back in the saddle against his doctor’s wishes and once again, landed in the hospital.

Following this, Jimmy was sent to the 6666 ranch in Texas by John Dutton to train him to be a better cowboy. When Jimmy as Mia to join her in Texas she refuses to do so and Jimmy moves on leaving her behind in Montana. After this, Jimmy moves to the 6666 ranch and eventually gets married to Emily. After some time, Jimmy visits Yellowstone in the season 4 finale, Mia is outraged to see Jimmy has moved on and engages in a fistfight with Emily. Now since Emily is a vet, she easily takes down Mia and that is the last time we see Mia in Yellowstone.

Will Eden Brolin Return as Mia in Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2?

As of now, it is reported that Eden Brolin will not be returning for Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2. After appearing last in Yellowstone in 2022, she got busy working on Candyland and High Desert. However, her appearance in Yellowstone is highly unlikely since she is currently working on two movies Montauk, a drama-thriller movie, and an action crime drama named Land of Grace.

If you ask me, it would make much more sense for her to not appear in the series as her character has no more relevance left in the show. She was supposed to set up the arc of Jimmy to go to Texas and join the 6666 ranch and that purpose has been fulfilled. However, there are confirmed reports of a new Yellowstone spin0ff called 6666 where she could have a brief appearance but nothing is confirmed as of now.
