D.A. Sinclair was officially introduced in the second of Invincible season 1, voiced by Ezra Miller. He worked as a professor at the Upstate University, but little did we know that he was a mad scientist in the making. He was an expert in both the surgery and engineering fields, as his goal was to fix humanity. Thus, he hated the weakness of being a human and aimed to solve it with his engineering and surgical prowesses.

That is why we saw the mad scientist kidnapping students and butchering them to turn them into ReAnimen. He also caught William’s boyfriend, Rick Sheridan, and transformed him into one of his monsters, who obey only their Master Sinclair. Fortunately, Invincible defeated him in the events of season 1 and handed him over to Cecil, who promised to imprison him.

Instead of locking D.A. Sinclair up for his inhumane experiments, Cecil Stedman didn’t want to let go of a trump card against Viltrumites. So, Cecil failed to keep his word to Mark and offered Sinclair a job to keep creating an army of ReAnimen, which could be used in the final war against the Viltrumites as well as in case Mark went nuts. He was seen working with Cecil in both seasons 1 and 2.

As a part of the Global Defense Agency, D.A. Sinclair was working secretly to create upgraded versions of the ReAnimen. However, this was later found out by Mark Grayson at the beginning of Invincible season 3. Cecil is okay with opting for extreme options to defend his planet, however, this didn’t sit right with Mark, along with Darkwing II’s return. That is why Invincible opposed Cecil and quit working for him now. Do you think D.A. Sinclair deserves a second chance to work for the GDA? Let us know in the comments below.
