Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+ Launched

note 10 launched

Samsung has finally taken the wraps off its brand new Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ flagships (yeah, we finally know the name of the bigger Note. It’s not pro, it’s plus).

Note 10 Specifications

The Note 10 comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display with a pixel density of 401ppi. However, this time around, the company has moved the selfie camera to the centre.

The phone also comes with a 7nm octa-core processor — the newly launched Exynos 9825, and the Snapdragon 855 in certain units.

In terms of optics, the Galaxy Note 10 comes with a triple rear camera set-up: a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, a 12MP f/1.5-f/2.4 lens, and a 12MP f/2.1 telephoto lens. Similar to last year, the Note 10 comes with dual OIS which is great.
On the front, you’ll find a 10MP f/2.2 selfie shooter.

One thing I’m not a fan of, in particular, is the tiny 3,500 mAh battery that Samsung is putting in the Note 10 — that’s just ridiculously small for a phone in 2019, but maybe Samsung is still reeling from the Note 7 debacle.

The Note 10 has been launched in two variants — an 8GB/256GB variant and a 12GB/256GB variant.

Note 10+ Specifications

On the other hand, we have the Note 10+ which comes with a massive 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O display with a pixel density of a whopping 498ppi.

The Note 10+ also comes with the Exynos 9825, and the Snapdragon 855 depending on the region and carrier.

As far as optics are concerned, the Note 10+ comes with a quad-rear camera set-up with the same 16MP + 12MP + 12MP set-up along with a fourth ‘DepthVision camera’. The selfie camera is the same 10MP f/2.2 shooter on the Note 10+ as well.

The Note 10+ features a bigger 4,300 mAh battery as compared to the Note 10’s meagre 3,500 mAh battery. It’s been launched in two variants — a 12GB/256GB variant, and a 12GB/512GB variant.

Note 10 5G and Note 10+ 5G

Samsung also launched the 5G variants of both the Note 10 and the Note 10+ and there are some minor differences between the two, as far as the SIM card support is concerned. While the standard Note 10 comes with support for dual nano SIMs, the 5G Note 10 only supports a single SIM.

The Note 10+, on the other hand, supports dual nano-SIM cards, or 1 SIM + 1 microSD card in the regular version, while the 5G variant only supports a single SIM + 1 microSD card.

Both the phones come with a variety of sensors including an accelerometer, barometer, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, hall sensor, proximity sensor, RGB light sensor, and more.

Note 10 and Note 10+ Price and Availability

Samsung has priced the Note 10 and Note 10+ at a starting price of $949 for the Note 10 and $1,099 for the Note 10+. The devices are available for pre-order starting tomorrow and will go on sale starting from August 23.
