She slowly becomes a private investigator under the tutelage of her detective father.
The first two seasons have a season-long mystery, whereas the third season follows a few episode-long stories. Later, the show was canceled after the third season. In 2014, show creator Thomas released a film with the same title continuing the story. Hulu then again continued the series with its fourth season.
